Haha oooohh no Carpel Tunnel isn't something I'm honestly worried about at all! It was just a random thought.

And actually no, I don't think theres a relation between how much time I spend at the PC and my anxiety. They have absolutely nothing in common at all.

And sure, the PC helps with my sleeping problems because I use it at as a distraction, But I dont honestly think it's the REASON, or even a small reason.

.... NOt to be mean or blunt but your feelings on this are dead wrong. Any sleep doctor will tell you that. It being a distraction is A BAD THING.

But what do I know it's not like I haven't talked to dozens of experts over the course of a few years trying to get my sleep problems fixed.

LONDON: A new study has revealed that people who work in front of a computer even just for five hours a day run the risk of mental illness such as depression and insomnia.
The study conducted on 25, 000 people has found that those working for hours in front of the computer complained of feeling depressed, anxious and reluctant to get up for work in the mornings.
The researchers said that many even reported problems getting along with fellow- workers and added that they were plagued by broken sleep and daytime fatigue, reports The Telegraph.
After studying the effects on health over a three-year period in one of the biggest investigations into the hazards of computers in the workplace, the experts are calling for employers to restrict time spent at terminals.
"This result suggests the prevention of mental disorders and sleep disorders and this requires the restriction of computer use to less than five hours a day," said the lead researcher, Dr Tetsuya Nakazawa, of Chiba University in Japan.
"Mental health and sleep-related symptoms were significantly higher in the group having more than five hours of daily computer use," the researcher said.
For three years, researchers monitored changes in workers' mental health and matched them up to time spent working at computers.
The results, published in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine, showed one in four staff was tied to their terminals for five or more hours a day. Once they crossed that threshold, the dangers of psychological disorders setting in appeared to increase sharply.
So far most research has focused only on how computers affect physical health. Sitting at terminals has been linked with repetitive strain injury, headaches, eyestrain and back and shoulder pain.
But the latest study looked for psychological effects by tracking thousands of office staff working for a large information technology company in sales, customer services, accounting and planning.
British experts said that working alone at a computer for hours on end could lead to a sense of isolation, even in a busy office.

This is in the context of work, the same applies to home~

Hmm.. While it may be researched and whatnot, I still don't feel like my anxiety comes from spending time on a computer. Sure if I was suffering from like.. Social disorders and that type of anxiety I would completely agree.. But that's not really the anxiety I'm referring to.

But Meh! I'm looking at these adorable cute cupcakes and they make me happy.

I don't care but when I'm having sleeping troubles because of other issues, I won't deny that sitting infront of the computer for too long made the sleeping problem even worse 8P

Bah enough. Either you are just to dense to see the connections or you don't really want to make things better you just want to complain. So go ahead whatever.

I'm however fixing things. So be back in about 30 min

This. Not so much as dozens, but more than a hand full of doctors and a few psychs.

Ultimately, what it boils down to is that you have to learn to take your mind back and make it your ***, metaphorically speaking.

Noticed how Darki and Ethics have posted my personal pic in that grandmother topic? Well I've blocked Ethics but Darki quoted it. I suppose they don't care if they get banned, bit of a low blow though.

Does it still apply if you posted it in the post your picture thread? Honest question, not that it makes it right though. :x

Not.. that I know what this conversation is even about. Is it off topic?

Tried & can confirm this works.
Usually I become more energize. At least once heartrate and breathing get back to normal. Unless I'm doing some silly marathon session then I might just roll over and passout.

Also yay was able to run faster and longer this time. Guess that means it's probably time to increase the distance.

Well when I was younger I use to run anywhere I was going if it was like a mile or less. Unless I was carrying something heavy. Even then I would walk or ride my bike. I was in track.... but in the navy I kinda lost track of it. Though I continued walking and riding my bike at least to and from work most the time.

I tried starting up again about a year ago. But kept quitting due to... well you know the reasons. I recently started back up again a couple of weeks ago.

I wish I had the will power to just run like I did in track. Yay 2 hours of pratice a day. But without someone to push me or competete against I'm not too motivated usually and little things like girl troubles can stop me.

I miss competetive sports
