As many as I have the cruor for while maintaining a balance of 1k. Usually end up using 3 stacks per XP run.

I might look into those now since all my jobs are capped level 80 and all my subjobs are leveled. Although I do like this "abyssea for 3-4 hours and get capped merits" thing.
Edit: And no, I wasn't lazy like Kalyna and be a chest *** for my subjobs. I actually made parties and leveled them to 49. actually as a dnc, i tried keeping Drain Samba III up to help the WHM a bit (and cured a bit if i got 300% tp from a common blue box)

Yeah, my group's focus is NMs so we've done 4 XP runs total with 2 of those being runs testing theories before everything was figured out (to the extent it is anyway) and SE released that Q&A. Not a whole lot of cruor built up that way though it's been enough that everyone in my group has their cruor gear already. I also require the hp/mp buffs for every NM run, and stat buffs for certain NMs.

It's not hard to keep people alive assuming you're killing mandys and your alliance doesn't fail.
Since they have no AoE and you should have a competent tank. 65: Not once did i poke anything for damage but i did do 0dmg (which puts Drain Samba III into use) -- i get my tp from blue boxes
66: Rarely did i hit for damage that gave me 3%-5% tp but did more 0dmg and was able to keep Drain Samba III into use)
67: A little more frequent
