Haven't really read anything of interest lately.
Sadly the last thing I seriously sat down and read was a dictionary.

I'm not kidding.

Strategy guides shouldn't even be touched until after you've beaten the game w/o one. D:

Speaking of strategy guides. I got the pokemon platinum guide off a torrent. Freaking 624 pages. I can't print all that. I'd spend more money on the paper than I would just buying the book.

I only use the guide for the second run around (and any more after that) so I make sure I get everything.

*** Pokemon guides, lol. All the info you need is on bulbapedia.net or whatever. It's fairly difficult to miss items, and any route pages tell you where all items are in that area.

A lot of the items for Platinum are just listed as "hidden" on bulbapedia, but the itemfinder app is so much better in this game that that's not usually a problem.

Poor MP efficiency, lack of hasting, not using bar spells when necessary, not keeping protect and shell up on the party/tank at least, not removing status effects...

Hidden items are usually in dead-obvious areas anyway, like in a corner or that random blank square in a field of tall grass.

The Item Finder is much, much better in HeartGold/SoulSilver.

I hope not. I don't want to buy one yet, although it would be awhile since Black/White won't be in the US until like March 2011, meaning I won't have to worry about the next one until like 2012/2013.

All of this is why I'm bad at mainhealing.

I just can't be arsed to remember to notice anyone's HP but my own. :/

How are they a bad indication? They leave a lot of room for future evolutions looking awesome.

As far as 3DS, I don't think Pokemon would fall for such a gimmick that's obviously ruining the gaming community.

But eh, who knows. As long as I don't have to learn Flash, Cut, or Rock Smash, I'll be happy.

I almost guarantee you, we get to learn Cut at the beginning again. :D

Flash isn't an HM anymore, luckily.

Really hope that comes to fruition. From what I've seen so far though, I'm not impressed.

Defog too.

What I mean is, I hope they abolish the whole HM system, or at least make them like...Hidden moves that don't take up 25% of your move slots.

Or give us like 6 moves per pokemon, that wouldn't hurt anything.

Generation 4 did a great job on final-evolution starters with a lot worse-looking basic starters.

***, even if we had 6 moves, I still wouldn't give anyone on my team an HM (besides Surf/Fly, maybe Waterfall if it's like Gyarados with uber physical attack).

Just need to learn where to catch a grass type and a Geodude and I'll be set for HMs for awhile.

What would be nice is if you could teach HMs but still have all four slots,

Like, give the player a choice to use an HM in the attack list, or put it in like, a utility slot so you can use it outside of battle only.

Pokemon needs more violence, blood, and sex, and should be put on PS3.
