Zergs are always risk. Generally they allow for no chance for anything to go wrong and cause both you and the mob to go down fast. So it can easily go from win to loss like that.
Straight tanking it allows alot more leeway as long as your tank and his support is halfway decent.

What went wrong with your zerg? Haste wore. drks took dmg lowering there dmg. Some people probably weren't on there A game (shout group and all). Kept putting up stoneskin. The Flare moves still get thru.
Also mind you this was like late 05 so alot of gear/jas/ws and such weren't there or as common as now

The last flare will pretty much get thru unless you perfectly time the cast (ie not chain stunning) and even if you did it will just do it right again and that will get thru and it will just keep trying till it does lol. The others can still get thru anyways with some bad luck on duration and such. Who knows maybe. It's not like it's a hard mob to tank. Assuming you have any tanks

I have like 5 different PLDs, lol. Think I already know which two would be the best for tanking based off gear.

Doesn't have much hp either. 2-3 sams could take it down in time with just meditate run in ws and 2hring.
When we ended up straight tanking it alot of people kinda ended up standing around alot. Especially the octave club drk lol. Wish I remembered how much fire resist we had on the one tank. Guy barely took dmg the entire fight. I kept him alive on rdm pretty easy while doing random stuns and dispels and running into range for buffs

But the nice things about mobs like that are that if you dispel them alot it semi locks them into buffing themselves. The bad part about that is your rdms tend to get capped hate within 5-15min even if they aren't healing much if 1 is doing most the dispels depending on the mob
Side note: The ferret has figured out there is food in the fridge and has decided to try climbing in everytime it's open. Also he apparently likes time magazine

Yeah I try to balance hate but it's hard. Like when there are 3 rdm/drks and like 5 blm/rdm and 3 brds on T4 ZNM cerb but none will dispel. Every. Though many will shout for other people too lol. And only people stunning are 2-3 blms and instead of stunning GoH they are stunning or trying to stun the stoneskin move /facepalm.
But yeah some fights are made rediculously easier by just spamming dispel. Like the ZNM wamoura. A rdm and pld and 1-2 outside people for baby spawns could probably hold it until it raged if it does.
Or the T3 VNM pixie. Though it isn't as buff happy as some. But it's buffs are a little more crazy. Like I forget how high the regen is. The stoneskin is pretty bad and instant cast. Of course pro/shell. And the 10tp/tic regain is ouchy

The HP is one of the key factors in my thinking of doing zerg. 4 SAMs, 2 MNKs, and 3 DRKs should be able to take down quick.
I figure the RDM/WHM could focus on dispel along with whichever RDM/DRK wasn't chainspell+stunning. That should keep hate balanced for long enough.

Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
