A fairly ambiguous response. I was leaning more towards, say, um...Well, when I first started posting here, you were using the Absolution avatar, and pretty much everything you used as Arte was music-related and I agreed with almost all of it.
And Lady Gaga is much more of an acquired taste. I compare her to the rest of the music industry (In which category she's near the top of my list).

However, the simple fact that she caters to an industry that pumps out sheer garbage to the masses is upsetting. I see great potential locked up behind a facade of mainstream crap.

Amazing.
I can't help but love Gaga. Her music is so addicting to listen to. A lot of times I don't like her songs when I first hear them, but then I can't stop listening to them LOL.
And I like that her glasses look a lot like Trent's in the Closer video.
Come to think of it, she does sort of remind me of a female version of Trent Reznor. Completely different genre of course but she has a similar aura.

See that's a lot more admirable. I think it's not so much the music that bothers me, but rather the mask of ridiculous taste she puts on for the masses. It completely nullifies her talent and musical capability when it's shrouded with this shallow desire to absorb as much media attention possible.
After having seen groups like Slipknot, old-school Mudvayne and Hollywood Undead (bleh), I really would much prefer to see music artists in their most modest form.

I suppose that's what frustrates me. You have to make a total *** of yourself to get recognized. But at least she has a knack for writing and performing music on her side. That certainly helps.
And now I'm in the mood for some Nine Inch Nails.
I suppose I'm not one to talk against Lady Gaga when I find myself liking some select tracks by The Mars Volta. They're *** bizarre. I find myself saying "WTF did I just listen to?" after most of their songs, but some are just like wow~
