If your in Dynamis on Monk and aren't pulling hate, you're doing it wrong. Monk is extremely powerful especially in a place like dynamis where the mobs are laughably weak.

after 60 yes. best thing i can suggest is go find a mnk mob. get a light buckler, buckler earring, af boots, and shield torque(after 65). Put up reprisal and let it attack you.

I'm glad my WHM gave my PLD a head start on shield. I know I still have a long ways to go, but it's better than starting at 0.

Actually, if the MNK is pulling hate the other DD's are doing it wrong, I think MNK is cool, but it's going to be your SAM/WAR/DRK/RNG and maybe DRG taking hate, WS are really what takes hate, and it's those jobs that do the most WS dmg/most WSs.
And the worst jobs at controlling hate, are the jobs I mentioned, because again WS is what really takes hate, can take DRG off the list because they have High/Super Jump, I just love getting hit on WAR because Retaliation is just broken though. MNK is actually fairly good at controlling its own hate, but they also have Counterstance etc so they are good at taking it anyway, all that being said it is all about player skill, the player himself controls whether he gets hate or not, of course unless your tank is just a boss and lives at capped hate.

Cheyne indeed has it right, since MNK is mostly DoT(Long Term) and not WS(Spike) it takes longer fights for MNK to really get it popping, you can add BLM to that list, I was speaking purely DDs, but a BLM who gets hate should stop doing so because they should be sleeping ***(:p) but seriously since they are so squishy and are generally ALL spike DMG(Barring DoT's) they need to control hate, but generally have -enm, again player skill.
My RNG and BLM have a deathwish sometimes. But I generally know how not to die.

I die quite frequently on BLM. Sleeping Mobs, soloing stats, Nuking pld/thf mobs, and time nuking bst pets leave a lot of potential for death. And yes ruma mnk's tend to die in the longer mobs such as WHM's or MNK mobs with their god like HP. But I also see them eat it to EES...OK well I see all DD's eat it to EES. TBH watching DD's die to EES is like my favorite hobby in Namis. It sucks though our DRK with apoc never dies. It kinda upsets me, he just overkills the mob ; ;

Hate that ***, you die once then some AoE from 40' away hits you for 20HP over what you normally have while weakened.
