In a shockingly right-wing twist, I really, really wish Pennsylvania would privatize our *** liquor stores. "higher on the shelf than Sailor Jerry" doesn't really exist here. You can buy Appleton Estate or something, and there are a couple ~$50 options of the "limited run" variety, but none of them are actually better than SJ.
Luckily, at least Jerry is decent. I enjoy it's fruitiness over, say, Captain. Which is a classic standby much loved by all, but it's flavor is one of "sugar, spice, and burning."

Alcohol in Pennsylvania is really strictly controlled and only in the past 10 years or so has lightened up in any way, but the state is still the only purveyor of hard liquor.
Beer you can buy at distributors in large quantities. Smaller quantities you can buy at sixpack shops, but they can only sell so much (I believe it's 192oz., or a 12-pack of pounders) Wine- and beer clubs are out because you can't ship wine via the mail in Pennsylvania, either.
Some of that changed very recently though. So recently it hasn't taken effect yet. The governor just signed the legislation in the past couple of weeks.
Liquor, however, is still only sold for home consumption at state owned-and-operated liquor stores.
And bars/restaurants have really convoluted rules regarding sales during A.M. hours and Sundays, too.
With alcohol laws like that maybe they are the gun laws.
Harder to go shoot up a joint if you don't have enough liquid courage to get yourself going!
