PvP for me is varied by the game itself
some games would <theoretically> match you against people of your skill or level / equipment values.
some games would just toss you into the fray with nothing into consideration , like a lvl 5 vs lvl 50
I do like the 1st one as long as the game is fun. hate the 2nd one when there is no effort.
that said, I hated PvP in Destiny, because it fell on the 2nd cathegory

Multiplayer in general tends to irritate me.
Take ME3's multiplayer. In theory it was awesome. It was coop, not PVP.
But it got to the point where you couldn't join a single game because the majority of people still playing it after the first month were super diehards and they would *** rail on you endlessly if you weren't super-amazing like they were. But the amount of people playing it was so skewed that even if you stuck to trying to get the "best match" for your rating or w/e you still ended up with a few people that were super good bitching at you for not keeping up or matching their kills/etc.
So grating. I and I really liked that multiplayer. Who the *** knows the rage I'd have in a game I actually don't love.
