It's my experience that once the A/C goes, even if you fix it, everything else is going to ***out sooner rather than later. Confirmed with: Chrysler, Ford, GM, Hyundai. Splurge and get the one with leak die in it and hose with a guage. Chances are good that the hillbilly girl that works behind the counter will put it in for you for $5 Shiva.Nikolce said: » Ramyrez said: » Just replace the vehicle now. lmfao! you can probably fix it for about twenty five dollars with a can of Freon from the auto parts store. Chances are good that the hillbilly girl that works behind the counter will put it in for you for $5 I didn't say that the A/C itself wasn't a potentially quick and easy fix. I'm saying every car my family has had in the past 25 years began a pretty steady decline once the A/C started needing attention. About where I am w/ the Colorado. Deciding at this point whether I should upgrade or just nickel-and-dime to avoid the truck payment and buy motorcycles with the difference. I bought it cheap fifteen+ years ago, so I can't really complain about the ROI, but like you I am completely uninterested in the notion of having an actual car payment again. Plus, I know there's no way I can justify cheaping out on a car this time, which just highlights the upcoming annoyance. Morning! I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?

There is a way that you can increase your good husband quotient and maintain your chronic penny pinching cheap *** tendencies by buying your wife the new car and taking her old one.... and of course you still drive the new car on family trips and whatever and hell...it can even be in your name. but you call it her car and that squares everything! The thought occurred to me, but she's way cheaper than I am, and actually likes her car (roughly five years old). It'd never work. If anything, she'll want "my" car to be the family car so it saves wear and tear on hers.
