I just don't like it much, but some things you just have to do, and it does impart a good flavor to the pork. Edit: otherwise I only eat it on a Reuben.

My husband loves German cucumber salad slopped on potatoes more. So, that's the favored side with bratwurst or schnitzel now. (Side note: He makes the best vinegar-based coleslaw!) potato salad is gross in general. vinegar based cole slaw is amazing on bbq.

i dunno why it seems so gross to me on hotdogs. i am pretty weird i like mayo and mustard on my dogs.
*edit* i actually prefer to just char hot dogs on the grill and to eat them by themselves with no bun. i haven't fixed up a hot dog proper in awhile.
