They changed the thank you into an I love you in the goodbye scene between Yuna and Tidus at the end. In German Version they sticked to the JP version in that matter.

I don't think this is so bad (imo) since that's how she felt
I find it worse when they change names or localize a character too much so personalities change (Haurchefant in 14)

I don't mind it in this case too. FFX-2 supported the possibility of that translation just fine.
But generally I am for point to point translations.
Even if the 'a thousand years to early' don't exist in German or English, we get the meaning of the japanese saying without any difficulties.
I regard the Lili translation as point to point to since it just specified the kind of dagger to enable a much more colourful name. No lore was changed with it.
