Yeah, that's why I don't do it either. I mean, I can tank trash just fine. But I'm an FFXI guy dabbling in WoW and I'm just like "Uhh...you want me to...nah, see, I'll just be over here hitting it with my axe."
I'm pretty much just filling a spot at this time so people who know wtf they're doing can do it on tank/healer/serious DPS.
I'm done with WoW w/ this xpac anyhow. It's been a fun dalliance away from XI, but I've got other ***to do with my weekends.

my brother tries to talk me into playing WoW about every six months or so. up until 2 years ago it was always "*** that, come play 11!" now it's just "*** that"... I don't know why the aversion to it, I loved all the RTS ones they made prior to the mmo... I really don't know. I don't even want to try it now.
Divinity is a godsend, and they're putting out tom clancy's 'the division' in march, then divinity 2 in december. I look to be pretty set this year, unless the division sucks.

That was sort of my thing. I mean, I waited like 7-8 years from release to try it at all which is weird, because I truly loved the RTS's, and StarCraft and Diablo to boot.
But since I had XI I was always "Ehhhh...do I need another MMO?"
Then I started playing because my wife had already been playing for about six months helping a friend's guild out and they finally convinced me to start w/ MoP.
I honestly really like the game, and raiding is actually my least favorite part of the game. I'd probably play more if I wasn't expected to be on for raids.
Which probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but eh.
I love the world and my characters. Just not a big fan of the raiding mechanics a lot of the time. The tank-and-spank fights I enjoy. But I'm awful at ranged DPS rotations and most of the fights in raids are never friendly to melee DDs.

I played like 2 minutes of it... I really didn't feel like going through a tutorial and I couldn't find the option to turn sound down so I got annoyed and shut the game down the night you gave it to me ._.

Yeah, I did all of SoO. I remember.
I've been told it was ever worse in raids past. I still kinda liked SoO overall though, with a few exceptions. That could just be because I had the mechanics down pretty well though.
But it wasn't kind. It was exceedingly common for me to be winning a parse until I, you know. Died.
To be quite honest I'm still not 100% sure of what the *** was going on in Blackrock Foundry.

I feel ya on the tutorial. Some times I'd rather smash my head into a wall than continue with slow *** tutorials. Fortunately that one isn't too long since the game is rather basic.

BRF is a little hectic on a few of the fights. Highmaul was a joke. Except Butcher, I mean he wasn't hard but if your raid didn't do the group mechanics... good lord.
