here is what I did. I bought a binder with a zipper on it. and when boss *** came in the door yelling I would say "hold that thought for just a moment, I want to take some notes"
then I would grab the binder and unzip it and turn it to a blank page and then get out a pen and get ready to write and say "ok this is for Customer X and the project number is 123435..... alright... shoot"
now.... the whole time the guy is screaming you pretend as if you are writing it all down. ask him to repeat parts and at the end sum it up "ok so I do it all this way, A B C... got it"
my boss at that time thought he was really making an impact on me and I even heard him tell someone how impressed he was that I wrote all his brilliant suggestions down so I could remember them and he even scolded other workers for not following suit.
had he ever bothered to open the binder....

He likes to mimic the things I do now: I wear sunglasses, he wants to wear them. I start humming a tune, he tries to hum and/or dance to it.
Got him a new hat today, and he was thrilled, but he wouldn't wear it unless he put it on himself, otherwise he would just use it for Peek-a-Boo.
And he had three times more energy today than usual.
