Ahhh... my original reaction to people that would write me off over such things is to think that they're not really worth my time anymore.

But now time to order toilet/fixtures/etc. Bahamut.Milamber said: » Piping I should clarify; it's the water line that needs to be taken out from the house to the workshop/guesthouse. Taking it out of the house after the meter is significantly cheaper than having a new installation/connection, so it will go into the house, through the meter, and out again. The sewage line will go directly from the workshop to the main outflow.

EDIT: Baking? I need to make the following one weekend. It's been too long.

So about 5 months after my mom was hospitalized after it was detected that her blood became septic and massive amount of kidney stones, the FDA finally issue a warning about the drug. Now on Wednesday she has to go in to the hospital again to have one of her kidneys removed. Her lawsuit is apart of the first wave.
Quote: The U.S. Food & Drug Administration approved a new class of diabetes medications in March 2013. Sodium-Glucose-Co-Transporter 2 Inhibitors – or SGLT2 Inhibitors, as they’re more commonly called – offer another options for type 2 diabetes patients; but serious safety issues have recently come to light. Attorneys around the country have begun to file Farxiga, Jardiance and Invokana lawsuits on behalf of patients who say they weren’t warned about adverse side effects like ketoacidosis, heart attack, stroke, and kidney failure. SGLT2 inhibitor lawsuits & ketoacidosis On May 15th, the FDA issued a safety communication for Farxiga, Jardiance and Invokana users. The entire SGLT2 inhibitor class of drugs may carry a risk of ketoacidosis, a dangerous condition resulting in high acid levels build in the blood. Lawyers say this risk is nowhere to be found on any of the SGLT2 inhibitor drug labels, which could spell costly lawsuits for negligent manufacturers if they are determined liable. Symptoms of ketoacidosis include: abdominal pain, confusion, flushed cheeks, frequent urination, headache, muscle stiffness, nausea, vomiting, and rapid breathing. Patients experiencing any of these symptoms must seek emergency medical care to avoid kidney damage. While no deaths have been publicly reported, there have been at least 20 cases of diabetic ketoacidosis requiring hospitalization and hundreds of adverse event reports filed with the FDA. According to a news report from Medscape titled “Four Diabetic Ketoacidosis Episodes Triple Risk of Early Death,” just one hospitalization for ketoacidosis increases a patient’s chance of dying within five years by 10 percent. Worse yet, four diabetic ketoacidosis hospitalizations increases the risk of early death by 30 percent. Who can file a Farxiga, Jardiance or Invokana lawsuit? Patients who have taken SGLT2 diabetes drugs and suffered injury requiring hospitalization are encouraged to contact an experienced attorney. Drug manufacturers have a responsibility for conducting comprehensive safety trials prior to seeking FDA approval. All known risk factors and adverse events need to be clearly and accurately listed on product labeling. Through court proceedings, lawyers are able to discover whether manufacturers are in compliance with all safety standards of which they were or should have been aware. FDA Issues Warning about Invokana Side Effects Morning all.
I hope it finds you at peace. I am kind of a loser. I think I went to work too soon after surgery, & pretty much burned myself right out. I crashed early friday night, & didn't rouse until I started getting worried calls from my grandma at noon. (the kids & I like to hassle her for breakfast on saturdays) so I didn't take the kids hiking, boating, camping, OR swimming. I get a big fat F in dadding for the weekend. shizzah. the garden looks really nice though, & man are tomatoes some water guzzling ***. Anyone get an A in mommin' / daddin'? you people with no offspring enjoy yourselves? what's up? what's next? Such a loser for going back to work to provide for them asap! But really. While I have little but disdain for the the "work through everything, real men don't feel pain/get sick" mindset, the fact that you feel bad about it pretty much puts the brakes on the "bad dad" narrative. Now if you were my dad, on the other hand...you didn't really need an excuse (or apology) for sleeping until 1:00 on Saturday. After he quit drinking. *** always got up to go fishing before that. And people wonder why I have cognitive dissonance about the negatives of alcoholism! Siren.Mosin said: » Anyone get an A in mommin' / daddin'? I'm giving myself a solid B+ for that, this weekend. I sometimes wonder if it's a mixed blessing that my mom (and her aunt) have Type 1 diabetes. There's actually no history of Type 2 in my family, and I don't have Type 1, so a bullet dodged there, so to speak. And so many of the newer "experimental" drugs are for Type 2, so she at least dodges this stuff to some extent. Doesn't matter in the end, as DM is a *** *** no matter how you look at it. Endocrine disorders in general are just enough to make your life hell and barely not enough for anyone to give a ***. Either way, wishing your mother well and the FDA/clinical trials a better future in figuring ***out. Maybe if they'd stop worrying about restricting cheeses and alcohol based on lobbyists' whims. -.-; Lakshmi.Rooks said: » Siren.Mosin said: » Anyone get an A in mommin' / daddin'? The wife and I have a system in place for the inevitable "Your child used bad language" phone call we're going to get. If it's some garden-variety profanity (the basic four letter variety, etc) then it's Mom's fault. If he gets held out of recess because he called Bobby a degenerate skinfucker, well, that's Dad's fault. Lakshmi.Rooks said: » The wife and I have a system in place for the inevitable "Your child used bad language" phone call we're going to get. My sister-in-law has a system in place as well. It's called asking her husband, "did you take the kids to see my sister again? They're talking like sailors." Then subsequently telling the teacher, "Sorry, they spent time around my sister and her husband; we're sorry. They're godless Yankees. We'll try not to let it happen again." Ramyrez said: » Yeah. Such a loser for going back to work to provide for them asap! well I'm on salary, so technically, I could have stayed home, mended up, & provided just the same. we're just so busy at work right now, & another guy retired, ect. ect. boring. thanks for the kind thoughts though. Lakshmi.Rooks said: » and learned a couple new words. hey, you must have a little guy too. they're exhausting. mine knows too many words now, & enjoys the excessive use of 'no' atm. it's pretty funny. he's so happy about saying no, I'll ask him if he wants a cookie, get the "no", then a series of panicked 'yeses' good stuff. I'll have to get healthy & toss that little *** into a lake this next weekend. or a pool at the very least. how old is your son? 2-ish? Well, today marks the beginning of the last week of being in this shitty office. Next week is our big move, then the following week I have my nice new office.
Now to decide what to hide in the drop ceiling... |
