Is there a way for a grandparent to seek custody of a child due to not taking the child to be examined for a condition that may cripple him?
Here's the issue; my niece is a horrible parent, her son has issues with his feet just as I did. When I was 5 I had corrective surgery and if I hadn't, I'd have to be in a wheelchair. My surgery was funded by an organization called the Shriners and he has recently gotten a sponsor to be taken to Shreveport to be checked out. My niece seems to be trying to get out of it because she's too lazy or in today's case, the father won't go without his weed, she won't go without him, baby can't go without her. Basically, I'm walking thanks to the Shriners, if he has the same issues, I'd hope he could get the treatment too. prolly could, especially with the weed issue, makign a case around it?
PARKER! is the escape pod ready!? we're leaving!
take down this note and then go tape it Meshi's door.... /clears throat Good King Meshi I've got some good news and I've got some bad news.... Ramy's baby transformed into The Hoppleganger Juggernut...and of course it's a giant hideous monster about the size of Godzilla and it's tearing apart the east wing of the castle... Directly from the "it seemed like a good idea at the time" department we woke up Godzilla to fight it. They are both in there now slugging it out.... I recommend taking on the winner... while they are still tired. oh right the good news... if you are reading this I escaped unharmed while PARKER was taping this to your door... see you monday. It might be hard to argue, as it may be considered an elective surgery (i.e. not life-threatening, but quality-of-life). So wait... What's in the east wing anyway?

I'm thinking about just walking in and shooting his PS3 and telling him that if that baby doesn't get to his appointment, the next one will be in his head. >.>
EDIT: Better yet, kick the ***out of him and let him know I was able to courtesy of the Shriners. :) Anna Ruthven said: » I'm thinking about just walking in and shooting his PS3 and telling him that if that baby doesn't get to his appointment, the next one will be in his head. >.> But shotgun justice is kinda frowned upon these days sir. The threat of a file of a protective custody case maybe all the motivation she needs, but depending on your archaic oklahoma-ian laws, & the boredom level of your local social workers, the time to action is going to widely vary as previously stated.

Or otherwise be involved with spending some time in a jail.

It may come down to some *** "well that's what we believe" argument, and Nausi will endorse you having a crippled child due to freedom of parents to be douchebags, but still. If you can't help directly, at least make the parents' life a hell of red tape. Traditionally I'd agree with you and walk in and shoot the dad in the foot and see how he likes not being able to walk. But as mentioned, vigilantism is highly frowned upon these days because don't you know everyone has the right to be scum to their children?
