As a general rule I tend to not tell a bunch of random people what really bothers me as it tends to get them to do just that with great frequency...

I worked with a kid once (~19-20) whose mom had died, but I never knew that. I would throw the occasional "your mom" joke out and whatnot, as you do joking around among guys. He always laughed and went along with it so I never knew any better.
Then we got someone moved to the department from elsewhere in the store and I did that, and after the guy walked away, new guy was like, "You know his mom died of cancer like three years ago, right?"

don't think i've given myself any temporary cerebellum damage and i definitely don't have any of the bladder/kidney dmg but yeah, i've had some shitty things happen.
i've woken up in the hospital 3 times due to being found after i anesthetized myself and one of those times i was handcuffed to the bed.
i get out of the halfway house ive been living in (kinda like an extension of treatment... just as lame and annoying) on friday and i already have been scheming about what i'll do when i get out. lol

A dude robbed a gas station, & had the same last name as a guy I work with, so I was all 'Bill was that your cousin that robbed that gas station?' yucking it up the whole way. I got a hearty '*** off' in return & lol'd on down the hallway. well like 2 months later another dude with his same last name robbed a casino, & I was all 'wtf bill, another one of your cousin's is out knockin' over casinos' laughing at myself again already. this time I got a super bummed out face & a 'dude, that's not cool, that was my brother'

He just sees the future too man.. he knew someone was eventually going to make fun of his dead mother so he just had to put a stop to it before it got there! but yeah I agree lol..
I'm still shocked and amazed that you invited that guy to openly speak in here ther other day... what happened to the unquestioned and unilateral shunning of everyone!?!?
