I took shane with me to a friend's house last night, he was a perfect gentlemen. I couldn't have been more pleased. we got invited for dinner as a last minute kind of deal, & he used his silverware, & didn't even throw anything on the ground. I couldn't believe my eyes.

What I recommend is matching the main ingredient of their formula.
So if their formula is rice based you give the rice cereal
lessens the chance of stomach upset

EDIT: Combining baby food with the rice cereal seems to be a good segue. The stinko turned his nose up at plain rice cereal.
The recipe is rice/corn/millet/buckwheat, with fat, formula, and one veggie (corn, carrots, potatoes, or broccoli).
We'll see how it goes.
We give a vitamin D supplement every day with a spoon so she is fmiliar with that, but I can't say she likes it. Hopefully the food will have better results.

I wouldn't recommend mixing things just yet.
A baby is like one of those old chemistry sets you find in your grandparents' basement where all the chemical identification labels have fallen off.
as long as you very carefully only put one thing at a time in the beaker.... you should be ok..
buckwheat and corn alone could be just fine but together they may turn baby into a projectile vomiting diarrhea factory. <ker~BOOOOM!> and every baby is a bomb wired different.
for obvious reasons you do not want to identify any bad combinations, let them figure it out on their own, when they move out and are out drinking in college...
