Holy shitballs hoppy. wait until you get a load of the idiots you will have to send your kid to school with... peanut allergies, lactose intolerance, gluten sensitivity the list is endless! one parent actually asked if the vegetables in the school lunches were organic and locally sourced... I have to shave my head to keep from ripping my hair out in front of people Shiva.Nikolce said: » Caitsith.Zahrah said: » FRIDAY!!! Did they ever come up with a definitive cause for peanut allergies? I have to shave my head to keep from ripping my hair out in front of people Sounds like super fun! Ugh...Gluten...I don't get it. Where did all of these allergies come from so suddenly? I already know some granola moms (one of which clocked a guy with a closed tequila bottle in college). I ain't scurred! I have a good idea of what they used to be before the June Cleavering. During the recruitment thing I had to do today at ASU, the site coordinator from Central (the high school I work at) told me that he doesn't want to see me on campus today. Instead, my job was to "get soup and sleep".
Dude's awesome. Yeah, I'm feeling about 80%, although I don't know how much of that is the DayQuil I've basically been taking like crack.
I was with a Girl that had Celiacs... Our first meeting took place at a diner in the city at 3am...
LMFAO!!! Why is KN still obsessively bitchin' about getting booted from here?!? It's on a weekly basis, I swear!

You don't understand... there are sixty of them all trying to have their opinions, concerns, dietary restrictions, special needs, religious superstitions, political affiliations, and gossip laundry list all validated at once.... my wife's best friend just went to a meeting for preschool and almost lost her mind completely.. I've also had a germaphobe boss before... He would literally send you home if he thought you were sick. This lead to fun games that I mainly spectated and did not participate in based on me wanting to keep my job.
Dude was crazy. He's not really a germaphobe, but I guess he's just a little too concerned for my well-being. He's sorta like that overprotective father figure. His thing was that he pushed himself too far when he was ill while teaching and he ended up getting pneumonia and he just didn't want me to do the same thing.
Honestly, I feel like I'm fine. All I'd be doing is sitting there watching the kids while they watch To Kill a Mockingbird, but if it's a direct order from my boss, I gotta do it. Caitsith.Zahrah said: » Did they ever come up with a definitive cause for peanut allergies? being too chicken ***to give them peanuts until they were 2-3 is my guess. sort of a self fulfilling prophecy. I was told not to eat peanut butter while pregnant because that could cause a peanut allergy. Sneaky peanuts! Caitsith.Zahrah said: » Sneaky peanuts! Oh, peanuts! Sorry, I misheard you there. Caitsith.Zahrah said: » I was told not to eat peanut butter while pregnant because that could cause a peanut allergy. see, I don't think that's the case. a little alcohol would affect the mennonite far more than it would me, because my body knows alcohol very well, & what to do with it. peanuts, same theory. my wife was trying to tell me the same thing, & all I could think was "***! give that wumpum baby some peanutbutter! he's missing out!" surprisingly enough, his head didn't turn red, swell up, & pop off. I read about that...then I looked into it more and found it full of BS. (Disclaimer: I love peanut butter) So many websites list an amazing amount of food a woman is not supposed to eat while based on anecdotal evidence, no evidence, or false conclusions. I finally only used the Mayo Clinic list and only if I could find scientific studies. I found it to be damn annoying. bless your heart for backing up my crazy theories with actual facts Kara, you're an angel.
I will not deal with anything sir! I will bury it deep down and then drink myself into a coma nightly... Then take it out on some unsuspecting person that I know won't pick a fight with me!
