1.) Who are these gods among man can actually get from being conscious of your dream to being at the helm?!? Enviable ability for those who can, but I don't know anyone who can. Can any of you?
2.) Have you ever had a dream where you're having sex with someone you're repulsed by with every microscopic cell in your body?
3.) If you were going to give yourself the Pavlovian cue to train yourself on how to lucid dream, what would be your "song talisman"?

There are times though that I have been kinda mid dream and half woke up and semi taking control of it...

i used to do lucid dreaming until i woke up with sleep paralysis still in effect. the terrifying 2-3 minutes i thought i was gonna be a vegetable for the rest of my life was enough to make me stop. i don't think there was any chance of any actual damage to my body. it was just one of the few times i've ever been genuinely terrified. i didn't get very far with it either. i could control simple things, but when i got to the point of, "i can do anything cause it's a dream", i'd wake up.
i've had a dream where i had sex with someone i didn't find attractive normally, but never with someone i hate.
i never had a cue to start or stop lucid dreaming. for me i'd meditate into sleep while focusing on the blinking light on the smoke detector. eventually i'd get up and i couldn't make out what time it was, and light switches didn't work. lights would either be on or off. i couldn't change them.

I've never been able to get to the point where I can control it. I'm so jealous of people who can! I'm consciously looking at myself in the scenario at hand, but can never start to "build" it myself.

oh radiohead. eh i like some stuff, but i've had to defend muse against radiohead fans calling them a rip off for a decade. some of their songs do hold special meanings to me though.
