Mine was good! I'm still psyched from yesterday's job news, then today the boss said he'd like us to come look around, he will buys us dinner and pay for a hotel room, then the guys can talk business and the girls can go play. (His wife works there too, and I've never been to that town. So by 'go play,' I mean his wife and I will go on a girl date showing me around and shopping or whatever we like while my husband checks out the engineering facilities.)
Then I also got some great new stuff for my babies! We bought them etched tags with their names, our phone number, and our email address. So if they ever get lost, there is not a single excuse in this world why they wouldn't be reunited with us as soon as someone found them. Not to mention they are microchipped with our information, too. We got Dante a sweater and he seems to not hate it. I'm not gonna say he likes it, but he doesn't hate it. He's napping in it. They got a new rope toy and a couple new teething toys because Dante is teething.
I'm just happy about everything today! It's been a really great day. Nothing in particular has happened to make it great, but it's great.

Basically, businesses and municipalities in this state will try to cram expansions and projects in at the last moment so they can continue to receive the same tax benefits or more than the did the previous years, so this season, coupled with the holidays, is always a major clusterfuck!
I'm actually neck deep in MEP spec books right now, my eyeballs feel like they're about to pop out of my skull, and I've been taking Ambien for the past week since my brain just won't shut off at night.

Heck yeah! I'm sure he's much more excited about graduation than I am. But he walked last time, so I'm sure he'll skip the ceremony this time. His masters is in electrical engineering, and his minors for his undergrad were math and computer science. It's ridiculous how much sheer techie knowledge he has stuffed into his brain! I'm just so proud of him. Which kinda creeps him out I think. And I'm happy to know that we have a place to go, and where! I'm going to be psyched and excited about this for months, lol.
Sucks about the last-minute expansions and projects. :/ They probably stress the employees out so much it would have been far more worthwhile to just let projects start in the new year.

Xueye, of the EE's I know, some are really socially happy and some are really shy. I haven't met any that are in-between.

He was in soccer and golf. in college he joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon on his campus. We wouldn't have lasted four years if he was socially inept.
I think there are way too many stereotypes about the gaming community. Yes, I'm aware that some people do perpetuate the bad stereotypes, but most of the CS guys I've been around are normal.

At my school, EE's walk around almost twitching and half the CS people can't look you in the eye. Hence why I joked about that.
