@Rowland if you check out a game called Neverwinter Nights 2 (never played the first one so not sure what version that is, might be 3.0) it could give you a general idea of it... mainly the combat since alot of the skills are removed simply because you can't code a game in depth enough for them XD

Here's the problem. If people in your party can't role play, it makes the game far less enjoyable. Especially if you're the only one who can because then you have to prod them along to get the ball rolling. Also the other players will tend to just agree with you rather than act as their character would.

I'm going to roll a monk for this campaign. Maybe I should take blindness as a penalty (I have to see what the positive bonus is for that first).
I probably won't though. But if I take the blind fight feat.... hmmm.

back in College, I saw a couple games being played, and they even allowed me to make a character sheet, but I never did get to play it.

In the campaign I DM'd, I made the bartender of the Brown Cow Inn have arrows that moo'd as they flew through the air. The party found that out when they pissed him off lol.
I also gave the dwarf in the party a bottle of water that was cursed to make him and only him pass out whenever he drank it.

Last character I played in NWN2 was a drow (not the best choice in retrospect since i forgot that monks get their own spell risistance) monk and was fun having an AC of 38 XD
It is... with the right people. Here's the problem. If people in your party can't role play, it makes the game far less enjoyable. Especially if you're the only one who can because then you have to prod them along to get the ball rolling. Also the other players will tend to just agree with you rather than act as their character would.
This a metagameing (useing something that you know but your character would not IE having yoru character knowing all about arcane arts with out the knowledge arcane skill ranked up) is pritty much the biggest problems, I ended up giving up the roleplay aspect alot of time with some of the people I played with because it just got old being the only one doing it.

Exactly Ina. Actually... the party for D&D is quite large. A bard would be useful.
Eh screw bard lol. Though a massive lullaby timed correctly is very useful. Also the ability to summon a cottage... I've used that spell to stop a wagon before. Summoned it right on the path I did.

somehow, the summoner fed up, hands off the sphere to some random adventurer wanting to be the very best, and upon unlocking it, the Adventurer has a yellow rat-like companion, who doesn't listens to him, and refuses to go back to that orb.

A pirate would be a fighter/rouge/duilist wouldnt it? or maybe -the fighter but pirates typicly tend to be sturdyer then your average thief.

There actually is a swashbuckler class I do believe. I forget which series that's in.

I knew there was one in NWN2 but wasn't sure if that was an actual class or just for the game (like the brokeness what was weapons master XD)
