Well from what I see it's about 8 hours of a drive which isn't horribly bad, it's just finding a friend that wouldn't mind driving that far (i'm sure if I paid for his ticket to it he wouldn't say no)

Take initiative NOW and start looking for apartments. that way you can pay at the beginning of June for the month of July so you're covered. Also start cutting your budget in any way you can so that way when you go to the convention you're not limited to what you can spend since it's a larger dork con.

Yeah I'm not entirely sure what they're going to do, but I know it involves a conscious sedation (But they've said already I won't remember the procedure afterward probably :3)
