Ew! How could you say that? You cant just BUY a new pet. Pets arent replaceable. You can never get the same dog or cat or whatever as you had before.

when i met my husband and moved out i couldn't take them with me and she said she wanted them anyway, but only checked on them once a week then spent the rest of the week at her bf's house. i can't help but wonder if his circumstances would have been better had my mom paid more attention and caught it rather than acting like he was a piece of garbage and neglecting him

yeah. that's kind of how i feel. irate that she neglected him to that point because you just can't miss the tumor as big as it is, but glad that at least if he's going to pass before i can get the appt for his euthanasia that he doesn't pass alone in a dingy apartment

It's her fault your cat developed a form of cancer that inevitably would have killed it regardless you just would have had to pay more in multiple tumor removals?

Also depending on the location of the tumor some vets wont remove them because the risk involved in the surgery. As was the case with my old dog.

I feel as though you are overreacting about this.

I feel as though you haven't read the entire discussion.

I said I wondered if his circumstances could have been different had she not neglected him, hence it could have been caught sooner, hence it wouldn't have caused breathing problems and become unable to be removed. Think of it like breastcancer or any other cancer. The chances of damages/death decreases the earlier you catch it. This apparently had been going on for a while judging by the size of said tumor.

Glad you now have all the facts.

Your still acting like a 6 year old and blaming someone. You have no way of knowing. Cancer is cancer it's always the same.

Regardless, there have been many cases of cancer survival due to early detection, diagnosis, treatment, etc.

Saying cancer is always the same is just willful ignorance.

By definition cancer is an uncontrolled cell growth. the different types refer to the location of the cancer. IE leukemia is blood cancer.
