Has anyone in here played Star Ocean: The Last Hope or any other Star Ocean game before? (a more recent one, most likely).
I want to know if it's like Tales of, well, anything. I know gameplay-wise it's similar, but I want to know if I should just use a guide from the start because hidden/secret things may be near impossible to find without one, like Tales of Vesperia.
I don't want to use a guide my first time around, but I also don't want to beat the entire game, taking like 100 hours to do, knowing I only got like 20% complete or some *** >___>

So, I spent the last 3 weeks downloading series 1 of Star Trek because I only started watching from series 2 on TV. It took me 3 weeks at the painful download speed I got through Utorrent. Then I open the videos to find a selection of porn spanning 20 hours.
At first I was dissapointed it wasn't Star Trek, for like 2 seconds until I discovered I was looking at a pair of *** instead of the Enterprise.

It's the backtracking that always gets me, which usually requires a guide since you simply won't know these things. I might just use one and only use it if I lose to a boss like 5 times in a row. Thanks though.

I had to use one for ToV. People would never think to talk to an NPC in the first area ever, then sleep at every inn around the area once (in a specific order) just to activate some quest that had to be done BEFORE entering another area. Like, really? Comon.

Yeah I don't think I'd ever have a reasonable reason to /prtscrn and save to my machine for another time a picture of someone saying something on the AH forams.
