She makes up some random rules about laundry, dishes, "communal areas", etc. I follow her made up rules. But I notice she doesn't follow the own rules that she made. So I call her out on it, we have another "house meeting" to go over the rules just to make sure everyone is in agreement.
Maybe 3-4 weeks later, they start being hypocrites again.
So the past weekend when they were doing laundry on their designated day (saturday), they asked my girlfriend if they could do laundry on sunday (my designated day). They didn't bother to ask me, and of course my girlfriend doesn't really have a say in this, said ok. I called them out on that too, saying they should ask me if they want to take over my day.
So while they were doing laundry on Sunday, my girlfriend was talking on the phone in the laundry room because it's quieter in there than my room was, she was leaning and sitting on the dryer. I guess her pants got stuck on the edge when she jumped down and it tilted the dryer a little bit.
So I get a text saying "dryer is broken, you can't do laundry today". So I go online looking to see if I can find the answer to why it would stop working because all roommate and his gf were doing is accusing my gf of ruining their dryer, saying that she needed to take care of it.
He gets pissed off at me asking these questions trying to defend my gf, and he tells me I'm not allowed to use the washer/dryer anymore and since it was my gf's fault, it's my responsibility to fix it. "Have it done in a timely manner... Friday seems timely, don't you agree?"
My response was "If I could also get my things back you're using by friday I'd appreciate it". (My things being: vacuum, coffee table, two end tables, some cords/cables, and the laptop I was letting him use to play WoW.)
I just say "whatever" and call a repair guy to be done with it. The repair guy comes over, looks at it, tells me "this dryer shouldn't have been working in the first place". There were cables that were installed incorrectly and all he did was put a 5cent bolt on it and it worked again. But that's fine, I'll pay the $30 inspection fee.
When I get home I have clean clothes for work tomorrow, so I load up everything in my car, and send one final text asking "may I use your washer/dryer, or do I need to make other arrangements?" He said make other arrangements. So I go to my parent's house and finish my laundry.
Once I get a microwave there is nothing left that I'm using of his. And if they try to take anything else away from me, the kitchen table and chairs are going too.
