Well that's exactly what they are. They're not real cops. I have a friend who was a rent-a-cop for Walmart for a short period.

You would need a thread that's several billion posts, and at that point the whole forum would just croak and die rather than a single thread.
The previous thread went boom because of quote trains. The forum back end can handle quote trains just fine, but user's browsers tend to freak out and wtfasplode when they encounter a hundred nested div/table replies. So you end up with a "click this and crash your browser" style thread topic lurking on the forum, which I'm forced to do something about.

To be honest, they only start shooing people away after dark. There are a few crowds that come out at night and cause problems. My group wasn't one of em, but we got punished anyway.

Yeah, it's pretty easily fixable. But I actually like the fact that it tends to break things, because it forces me to log in and knock some heads together. The forums wouldn't be the same without random bi-monthly "Jaerik flips out and kills people" posts. (Jaeriks are also mammals.)
Another topic that's been suggested and now re-suggested is an actual post rate limit...

It's a strip mall type place. I don't think any of the stores play music. If they did, the people would just play their louder music to drown it out.

No. post rate limit means you can only post once in a set amount of time (i.e a minute between posts)
Twitter is a character limit, not word limit.

OSHA doesn't approve of it, but use a ladder. Set the books on a step to level the ladder and then paint the walls.

Paint sprayers suck. My parents tried to use on in thier house and it came out so bad. I wouldnt even use them for exterior painting lol
