Get that Dnc to 75 and we can do ODS sometime :x You know, I actually had no plans to take DNC up any further for a while. Iza decided to finally lvl WAR to 37 for sub. I got on DNC and boom 44-52 (and back to 51 during AF fights). I need to get WHM to 75 >_< It being at 69 (while a good number) is driving me nuts. So so close. 0.- i dont wanna learn stuffs today boooooo
I got Whm from 70-75 in campaign battle, lol.
I level'd it during the Sch Era, so everyone was picking Schs and Rdm, I would seek for hours on Whm and not get a single invite. Haseyo said: I got Whm from 70-75 in campaign battle, lol. I level'd it during the Sch Era, so everyone was picking Schs and Rdm, I would seek for hours on Whm and not get a single invite. Campaign is just so damn slow. I get bored with it now. I also build my own PTs so I don't have the seeking problem. Lately I've just been tired of building parties and campaigning. I'd get a level a day in campaign battle. Just have to know how to abuse the exp system.
Here: but take notice, some stuff has been changed since the campaign battle nerf with forts, not sure what else was effected. people been showing their tiny genitals again on the "Lol pics again" thread, so Jaerik got all of them arrested for internet indecency.
/sneezes Christ, some coffee now would be nice. eh got a song stuck in my head o.o now today will have an interesting theme song :3
A level a day? I've been using that guide, but still don't manage to reach caps half the time. I dunno if it's just me not understanding things or just doing it wrong.
I do believe some of the percentages are off. Ex: I popped into a campaign battle late. You're supposed to get 10% of what you cure on NPCs, right? well I tossed out divine seal + cure V. spammed cure V and IV over and over. Once out of MP, I did a evaluation since I figured I was close to cap. I think I got 200-300 XP. Seems like it's more like 5%. It hasn't been updated after the April nerf, so I don't know the exact amount anymore.
I don't know what level your club is, but Hexa Strike can hit some lovely numbers, adding to the DD department. Sub Dnc for Aspir Samba, which enfeebs each swing since it inflicts a "Daze", along with steps, etc. It probably is harder now, I would average 2~3k a battle back in the day, now it's only long *** battles that deliver that... I hadn't read through the discussion portion of that page. I should have. Hopefully it will enlighten me to how to increase my XP / campaign battle.

I'll try WHM/DNC next time. Hadn't thought about the samba. I hit 2k XP in one battle I think. It was a LONG battle. Probably 45-60 minutes long. Triple post, FTW
I've also noticed that the next page (blank) is showing up sooner now. Before it was 1 post short. Then it was 2 short. I think we're up to 5-6 posts. Yeah, it's rather annoying. >.<;

Edit: looking back, it seems like it's appearing as much as 10 posts short now. Maybe a couple more. I'll try to pay more attention this time. Not sure if I'm late but damn I want this game. ; ; Has, we need to find a better source for campaign calculations. The wiki page is a clusterfuck.
The best thing I've gotten out of it is the xp/minute cap. I didn't know that was there. It explains why I didn't get cap XP for that cure scenario I mentioned before. The more important thing is just to know what factors exp in campaign battle, not exactly how much each thing contributes. As a Whm, I just melee, WS when possible, and cure status effects, along with raising, etc. I don't like to sub Nin, because getting beat up is much better than not getting hit at all. I love tanking, lol.

I haven't been evaluated cause I didn't see a point in it. But you're damn right it catches up. Everything is tallied and then your exp is capped down based on how long you had tags up, and exp is based on AN. If you earn 1000 AN, at level 75, you'll get 2000 exp if you've had tags up long enough to get that. If you were to manage to do 1000AN worth in five minutes of campaign battle, it would actually cap your exp at 1000, what I call 'brute-forcing' it (I can only really do about 500). If you do that 1000AN worth, and then sit with tags on for 45 minutes doing nothing else, you'll get your 2000 exp. I'm always so disgustingly capped on DRK I usually fight one mob and then go make a sandwich or something, come back and fight another if the battle is still going, and still wind up 2000 exp and 1300 an. Yeah I've definitely gone out and done 3-5 aga3s on a group of 12 mobs RRd up did it again all in like the first 5-10 min of fight. just sat there for a bit and bam 2.4k Huge factor is just getting beat up.
When just DDing while someone else tanks, I'll get like 1.5k~2k. If I'm tanking, then I get about 3~4k, possibly 5k depending how long. (only seen this once, lol) In the end - get that *** beat. Plds get ridiculous exp. Raelia said: Krizz said: Dasva said: Why not? I've found that even if you go past the xp/min cap if you just wait for time to catch up it will even out. Does it? Well this is good to know on those where the 'battle' starts, but no mobs come for 15 minutes. |
