Naw, I'm not much of a gambling man unless it's a good sports game or playing pool with buddies.
However, I will be seeing A Perfect Circle live for two nights in a row after their six year hiatus, which will be pretty epic.

i dunno if they have released anything for the newer models but it's easier on the fat psps.
2000 series and under are ones you can almost definitely mod.
but there are certain mobos that won't allow modding so do your research before/if you buy.

Yikes. It would probably cost a fortune to find a specific old model PSP that I could modify to allow it to play iso/bins of whatever PS1 game I wanted, but alas, at least the PSN is adding more and more games for transfer via PS3 to PSP. I think I may as well just get a newer one and save myself the hassle.

but monetarily it's inexpensive in regards to how much you'd pay for games.

Looks like I'm gonna have to do some research on the capacity and models of the PSP. I know Sony recently released a newer model with a better screen and a built in mic with other bells and whistles for the release of Birth by Sleep. I suppose it's either get an old PSP and hack it so I can load whatever I want on it or get a newer sleeker one and hope for the best on the PSN.
Although at the rate of their releases, I'd be an old fart before I see good games like Bushido Blade 2, Legend of Dragoon or Chrono Cross out /sigh
