We live at the edge of the county line and a cop from the other county once stopped my sister in our county and put on the ticket that he stopped her 4-5 streets over in his county. I don't think she had to even stop for him. I'd probably just came on home, the cop would basically be a civilian after crossing the county line, IIRC.

I think it works differently with counties, when they are in pursuit they can easily stay on your *** and ring up the county over.
Unless you have some muscle car that can blaze away i'd recommend maybe pulling over.

No, no. He was out of his jourisdiction by like a mile when he started chasing my sister down. During that, he was contacting the other country to get an OK to chase your sister down.
Also cops are slow to put their lights on. I got pulled over a few months ago for running a "no turn on red" (i didn't know it was a no turn on red, i did do the complete stop and all that safety stuff and i got off with a warning) and they didn't put their lights on til about 1 mile after.
