I don't see Beyond 2 Souls even being considered quite frankly. Every game that pops out of David Cage's *** shows visible contempt for the gaming medium, and people are quickly picking up on that.

Maybe he's learned to embrace the strengths of the medium since Heavy Rain (Which sucked copious amounts of ***), but I doubt it.

It's quite possible, though Heavy Rain had a couple of publications who saw through its ***. Then again, so did Bioshock: Infinite.

Just to clarify.

Physical Address Extension (PAE) allows x86 CPU's to access more than 4GB of memory (been around since 1995). PAE can be enabled in Windows but due to Windows policy this still doesn't allow you to access more than 4GB.

A proper OS (Linux!) will allow you to access up to 64GB of ram on a 32bit OS because to PAE.

Consoles will have PAE and therefore no 4GB memory limits.

Also depends if the system itself supports it, not all hardware has PAE.

Some versions of Windows will support more than 4GB with PAE, just not Windows XP...

XboxOne's cloud will quadruple the system's power.

Take that PC's and Playstation 4, the xboxone is saved and will win the platform wars.

Except cloud computing doesn't work like that, can't it only be used for things independent of latency issues? Jetackuu seems to know stuff like this. Either way, I smell *** all around.

(Also, any game using Cloud computing would require a constant, uninterrupted internet connection and probably a *** of bandwidth)

If they plan to use the processing power of servers to do processing of the game and or other content on the console and stream it to you live, then it will require one hell of a connection.

Hell a T1 even has issues supporting xenapp to multiple users.

It's possible, but it's an unrealistic goal for a good many consumers.

The reasons why Windows XP had PAE support mangled at Service Pack 1 (RTM did work with PAE go figure) were merely political/monetary.

They felt people would attempt to use XP as server OS so they "*** it up".

I was following the developments with that OnLive service (not even sure if that's still around actually) so I do know it's theoretically possible.

It seems like a pipe dream right now, something developers won't even use unless this generation sticks around for 10+ Years. I'm assuming it works off the same idea of that OnLive service, so I wasn't doubting the theory of 4x power, just the practicality of it to be utilized on the development end.

In this early stage it seems best reserved for MMOG style games. Stuff that you're always online for anyway.

I did neglect to think of that. If the games will be "server side" and most of it streamed to you, then yes the majority of the power can be done that way, even at limited bandwidth, but we all know what DCing is like, and XI was designed to run on dialup (haven't tried that in 7 years though...)

The theory is certainly there, and the future is what they're pushing for (for control more so than practicality).

I seem to recall that now that I think about it...

Yeah, I have to catch myself at times to make sure to not try to turn my Win7 boxes into "servers"...

Thats the third comment you made about Heavy Rain. While I can understand how people are so geared toward action and structure that actually requires skill can think it was boring. I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed the game.

I actually cared about the characters and the outcome of the story. It was a nice break from the rudimentary elements we have grown accustomed to over the years. I wouldnt say it was game of the year caliber, but I cant be alone in thinking that is was a good game.

Looking at meta critic bioshock had nothing but positive reviews so no idea where you got that from.

Bioshock did have total Positives, but Bioshock: Infinite had two "Mixed" on the Xbox360 Version, one from "Quarter to Three" who also gave that abortion Monaco: WYIM a perfect score, and Game Critics which I agree with in terms of the critisms they levy against the game, but disagree with how much it impacts the overall game.

Just some of the problems with Bioshock: Infinite off the top of my head.

-Vigor's don't make sense in the context of the game. (Yes I know they came from a tear)

-Some of the Dialog doesn't flow well, like a lot had been cut (Best example is when you're heading into the Finkton Ghetto when Liz starts talking out of nowhere really)

-Not enough Skyrail, the level design overall isn't quote as good as Bioshock

-The Siren fight(s) seemed out of place.

-Songbird isn't nearly as central as I thought he was going to be.

Still, for my money and time, Bioshock: Infinite is a 10/10.

Yes, it's amazing, don't let anyone convince you otherwise. I'm sure it'll be seen as overhyped and overrated in the future, but it's amazing through and through. Hopefully the Add-Ons are good, though I have no idea wtf they're going to do.

I have some theories, but they spoil a bit of the game.

Microsoft signs its own Death Warrant.

I'll be a Playstation man next generation unless the PS4 is comparable in price with a new barebones PC that can play all the new games.

I would die laughing if PS4 had some sort of similar restriction or setup announced at E3. Probably won't but I'm waiting for the catch-22 with all of this lol.

I would assume its the publishers pushing this onto both microsoft and sony. I am assuming playstation will have the same "you can use used games if the publisher allows it" but what i'm hoping is that they then say "But any playstation exclusive will not restrict used games in any way."

That is what i am hoping for.

It's been a pretty well known fact that the gaming industry destroys any revenue hollywood brings in as a whole. That being said the reason we see spikes in games now costing $69.99+ is the amount of sheer manpower and staffing required to create more and more sophisticated games. When games are sold to Gamestop or traded around elsewhere, the game companies see zero of that money.

The thing that is frustrating is that even if PS4 adapts a similar policy... we won't see a decrease in brand new game prices for either system. They are potentially raising prices of games for next-gen instead while requiring more fees and payments just for trading around games with friends. It's fairly frustrating.

Sony already said games will still be priced at $59.99. No game costs more than 69.99

Sony also said that they have no desire to restrict used games on a system leave and said its up to the publishers what they want to do (IE online passes, etc)

I would expect Sony to have a similar policy, its not a huge deal unless you dont have internet. And games are staying the same price, no idea why people think they will increase.

Average game price will rise for Xbox consumers though if the no used policy is put into affect.

The only thing that'd stop me from getting a Playstation 4 now is an announcement that Fallout4/Elder Scrolls are XboxOne exclusives, which would also cockblock PC option simultaneously.

Well, that and obvious Sony adopting Microsoft buttfucker policies as well, but I honestly think they already came out and said that there's no Big Brother always on ***, which stems all the rest of my concerns. Still, we'll probably learn a lot more before they're on the market.

Who will fix their games for them if Bethesda doesn't put it on the PC? I can't imagine they'd do that.
