Predictable Disconnections

Everyday, I disconnect/reddot out of FFXI. Yea we all do, right?
Probably... but I get it between 1:00 - 1:20 AM AND PM, generally.
Used to think it was my router, because I'd DC around 9ish AM AND PM

What gives? Every single day, same time every day, AM and PM.
I see some poeple with seacoms from dynamis, THREE DAYS AGO...

Cox Communications fails. Is there a way to fix this nonsense?

Ive always assumed it was my ISP, because even with new house/computer/hardware, still does it.

Is there any way to hold the connection to POL/FFXI when the servers back-up like this?

Why does something so simple and understandable have to cause so much frustration D:

Switch to a better ISP?

I have the same thing, typically in the 1am - 2am window on fridays and mondays <_<

I think Qwest is the only other realistic option, and they are DSL :(

Pretty sure its either your net provider backing up their servers and such that or possibly the splitter in your house (if you have one) is going out or its SE's servers. . .Normally when disconnections are at certain times such as those its just a server/system back up mine disconnects for a split second every day at 10AM and PM.

i believe it could be your router because ive had the same problem until i switched routers now ive been on basically 24/7

My guess is ISP. On my last ISP I used to DC every other night at exactly 11:59 PM. Count yourself lucky though, my current ISP decided oen day that half its customers were not allowed to login to POL for 3 months a while back, for no apparent reason, and 3 months later decided to let us back. oO

No way that this is the internet provider or router. I know it happens to various people and when I'm in a pt, everyone says "r0ing". Has to be PO!
Happens to me all the time, so annoying!

Are you on a PS2? The only time I've ever heard of this happening was when someone mentioned their PS2 did this at the same time every night, and then a few others chimed in about having the same problem as well.

Prefalin's post also sounds pretty solid so that may also be something to look into.

It DC'd me back when I had a router too, just at a different time.
Router was roommates, no longer in possession of it.
Is there a router anyone recommends to hold a connection?

Everyone I talk to is like "idklol" to this, no one seems to have this issue.
Yea, I know POL reddots people, but twice a day, everyday?!?

i use a cheap dynex router i got off ebay for like 10 bucks an its the best router ive ever had=P bought it to replace a lynksys that was havin networking issues like that...

Its SE's servers still they were suppose to fix it but apparently they don't know what they're doing >_>. SE {Server Certification} {You can have this.} XD
