I really wish they'd refrain from adding new weapons and just give us some new content to use the weapons we already have.

We literally just had a major expansion come out......

Do you mean Reives with a side of running around topped off with two jobs absent of any JSE? Yes, it's new content, but of all the additions needed in FFXI, weapons wasn't one of them.

Oh... or do you mean the ENTIRE CONTINENT we have to work together to colonize and pioneer? Yeah, I meant that....

Can you please provide evidence showing a mass population of players having any of those weapons? How about 10 players. Show evidence that 10 players on all servers have these weapons already and i'll support your stance.

By doing Reives and running around..

I think you're grasping because your first point was just so awful... Seriously, the expansion JUST hit the game, settle down on the content complaints because we just got a decent bit of it straight out of the gate. And to your "no JSE" comment. No job came out with af1/2/3 already in place. Not blu/cor/pup/dnc/sch/geo/run or any Zilart jobs to the best of my knowledge. That stuff is coming shortly anyways.

I know none of the previous jobs came out with any of their respective JSE, but no one can argue that things have changed. Jobs couldn't be burned to cap in one day, sure some hit the 75 cap rather quickly, but the average player took some time to get there and JSE seemed to be released at a better pace due to that. I'm not complaining about lack of content so much as the speed at which all these various weapons have been obtained and possibly obliterated. (If it's not 99 it will eventually be outclassed.)

People had DNC / SCH within 1 day.

I also seem to remember that even with COR / BLU / PUP a few people had them at cap within 1-2 days of release as they raced to be the first to 75.

No server even has access to the Naakuls yet as far as I'm aware. How can it be too fast if you can't even get them yet?

We certainly had people capped within a day on our servers just via different burns like summoner burn didn't exist at 75. Since level sync peeps have had many ways to get fast xp its now open to all...

They're saying that old gear is getting out classed too quickly not that content is being done too quickly.

It's actually a pretty common complaint from what I've seen a lot of old players feel that gear lasted longer at 75. Personally I don't see it as a bad thing but meh.

I think everyone must think I'm like crying in a dark corner about these things. I'm not. All I'm saying is I'm unhappy with the addition of new weapons that seem to outclass the "best" weapons in the game. I'm not quitting FFXI or anything, I'm actually logged in now. I just stated my opinion and I will "get over it", but geez people, have a little tact.

seeing that these were adjusted in the maintenance today, are the weapons still in their high dmg state? from the messages i've recieved, they were buffed, and then "adjusted". can anyone with PoLutils confirm for me?

on a semi related note, i have a feeling these might not be the most powerful things we see from adoulin ( though they will be close)

if SE buffs RME to match these then releases something stronger, there wil be much more butthurt. i expect there will be much more time before a RME buff, just due to testing/balancing alone. if there are a new set of adoulin weapons in a year or two, they wil likely destroy these things, then our current weapons wil be balanced to match those accordingly.

so many people new to game, i don't understand it......i think people who are starting fresh don't know what they're getting into, this state of game and just starting is kind of a stupid idea. "moving to fast" that got me, you obviously havent played this game long enough, this game has NEVER been too fast.

Also you have to realize, AF2/3 sets sometimes reflect the playstyle of the community. Just look at how Nin AF has evolved and the AF3 set even has counter+ on the yonin adjustment. And it's only from the front (IE tanking). SE didn't want nin to be a tank but the players made it that way. Geo/Run AF1/2/3 are going to have some JA boosters like all sets do basically, but some of it is gonna be based on feedback the players give on those jobs and what they are looking for, out of some AF sets.

It's actually a lot quicker than it was at 75. Though it was stagnant at 75.. I prefer it now.

at 75 people actually needed skill, i miss 75 cap, although it is fun the game progressed and didn't die there, just wish people would have seen the content then compared to now, so they complain less.

I've been playing this game for a long time, 8 years. The game doesn't "move too fast" in that sense, but it wasn't that long ago that relics and empyreans weapons became the standard weapons, as in most people could obtain one. It also wasn't so long ago when they could be upgraded to 99.

there are 3 of 7 naakuls released, with 7 of probably 14 weapons, no one has access to them yet.

These weapons allegedly come from Naakuls, was my point. How can something that's been the best-in-slot (or nearly) for eight+ years be outclassed too quickly by something we can't even get yet?

I was more talking about gear. I completely agree with your point. Hell while I do think gear is outclassed faster than it was at 75 I think this is a very good thing as I've stated before.

Though going on a what if for these weps. If they make Emps/relics useless then that means relics had 8(or so) years, emps(99) had 2(?), could these have an even shorter life span?

I'm late to the topic, but I was skimming through it and a lot of people suggested that these might be the start of a new ultimate weapon type like R/M/E. I personally feel that these are just an alternative to building a weapon, which was suggested before.

Anyone know anything about these? It looks like staff is missing, which would fill in BLM, (WHM), SMN, SCH, and GEO.

some emp's can be finished in a week after trials NM's killed, relics can be done in a month-3 depending on play times etc. easy to get ***in this game A) make a goal B) stick to goal C) complete goal. i think most people are distracted by the fact they wont get the thing they want in 1 day. making friends is big part of game, make good friends YOU help and get help in return, it's an MMO after all, need people to rely on every so often.

I was considering that to be it, but it has "Magic Atk. Bonus"+40 added to it which doesn't go along with the rest.
