Wanted to unlock Geomancer early this morning, got impatient and paid 400,000 gil for a Petrified Log.

Logs were 600K on Levi at one point yesterday.
So, what I did as a duo was killed Fraelissa, then split the cost for the second log (300K between us both). <.<

Well fortunately I have thick skin, and a sense of humor.
But in truth reason for creating this thread, was more to comment on how I thought it was extremely interesting to see the effect that the demand for this item had on the AH price.
An item that was so cheap yesterday is now being farmed en masse, and sold at outrageous prices. Even early this morning I was seeing it fluctuate from as low as 100,000 to 500,000. I'll be interested to see where the demand for it eventually levels the price out to. Obviously its not the first time any of us have seen this before, but it's still interesting to me to see it happen so quickly.

The exact same thing happened when we got a level cap increase and shittons of people needed valkurm sunsand for the quest. It's now 5k. Easy to see where petrified logs will end up after the crazies have unlocked GEO.
I'll unlock geo next month unless a log will drop to me in a VW that won't even happen anymore.
