They go in exactly the same place in 4 as they did in 3.4. If theres not a scripts folder, then make one :).

Unable to found out how to permanently change the backround resolution in windower4. Changing the registry values doesn't work as every time windower restarts it reverts to the base resolution for both the window and the backround. (Generally like it to be 800x600 screen reso and 2400x1800 backround).
v3.41 gave me the same issues but with launcher_gui I was able to get it working.
Is there a way to change backround reso with windower4?

turn on super sampling under the game settings in the launcher GUI
well just moved over to windower 4 and will randomly not respond when i alt+tab >.>

Does XI-Util work with Windower 4 (Sandbox/Send plugin)? I haven't made the change yet but just wondering.
Just downloaded windower 4 and it freezes on loading up usually around the character select screen :/
I just downloaded as well, and having quite a few problems, freezes, sometimes plugins arent working right, trying to figure out how to get it so i can minimize/look at other windows at the same time as playing 11....

Sorry, new to Windower 4 but is there a way to move the timers off the icons for Statustimer? In 3.4 I had:

...in the init file and I'm not sure where to do that in this system. Not familiar with lua? (to be honest I'm not sure what it is ; ;)
Sidenote to that: I've seen the bTimers comments and I'm not sure what goes on with any of that? I saw a bunch of text ending .lua but I have no idea what to save where. Any assistance appreciated and sorry for the very tech~illiterate questions!

I downloaded windower 4 just now, works fine, but where do I put my xmls? Can I just move my whole spellcast folder over?
Sorry if this was already asked but can we just move the 3.4 plugins to the 4.0 folder or do we need to download a newer version just for 4? I'd look but I'm cooking atm and was just looking for a quick answer. Thanks!
I copy-pasted my entire script/plugin folders to windower 4 folder and everything worked fine.

Did that and my resolution is still huge. There's no way to change it like in 3.43?
Also seems to be a problem with one of the plugins, I don't know which. Game launched fine when I ran it on bone stock 4.0, but now that I re-downloaded plugins it freezes as soon as they start loading.

I didn't bother. On the launcher there's an option to the right of profiles where you can download plugins and turn them off and on before launching into the game.
You'll still have to move spellcast xmls to a scripts folder afterwards but otherwise just going this way you should be good.
Well finally got into the game using windower 4 but now am stuck logging out XD can't stand or move well atleast it keeps me occupied

Which resolution, background? Idk that's what fixed it for me. If you're talking about the menu, thats under the UI tab.

Ah perfect, thank you. I had it set to 3x thinking it was some kind of graphics setting to max the game lol.
I just upgraded to 4, I love it, but my overall resolution went way down since the upgrade. Is there anything that I can do to have the clean and crisp game I was experiencing before the move?
If you turn on super sampling under the game settings in the launcher GUI that should help.

One thing I did notice, was my GW plugin was making Windower4 crash.. I took it out and have been fine since. :D

Windower 4> plugins > settings > timers > right click > open with WordPad > alter the XY as needed.
After asking some ls mates about this issue, they told me to do something, but what they told me isnt exactly working. I use the ffxicalculator to max my graphics and unless im missing something there isnt a gui ini file to write over for windower 4. How can I solve this problem?
