Enhancing is fine, I don't mind. It's divine so high that is wtf, for only flash and possibly subbed banishes lol.

Could be setting up for other stuff down the line... maybe it will get more spells. More likely I think someone at SE said "Hey, you know what we could do to totally mess with players?"

I'd like merits to reduce recast on lunge and enhance potency of the runes and / or lunge effect.

Great Sword looks to be tough to get a decent self-SC without Scourge. Was thinking that /SAM opening a fight with self-SC and MB on Lunge would be a great way to jack CE/VE up.

GEO gets the funny hat from FF5.
I need proof that SE says they're going to get that design for AF3. . . I personally thought it would just be some sort of JSE gear.

/sigh time to learn to dat mod.

It actually doesn't look as bad as you might think.

I hope this the right place to ask....
So I am playing around on RUN and with Lunge and Gambit
Gambit- uses runes harbored to reduce an enemy's elemental defense type depend on rune you harbor. Sure people know that and Lunge expends all runes to deal dmg. Ok for my question lets say I stack x3 Ingis Runes- increase resistance against ice and deals fire dmg
Would Gambit make the enemy weak to fire or the ice?
And sorry ahead of time if this has been asked

It'd probably make it weak to fire since you were using fire to damage it. My question about gambit is the potency of the resistance down significant enough to warrant SC+MBs or straight up timed nukes again. In that case would the damage be significant enough to warrant pure nuking BLMs or SCHs who can buff/heal?

Cause what I am trying to do is to use Gambit with x3 runes and stack 3 more that would be strong to whatever its weak against now and use lunge.

will you ever look at dia III and the other meritable obtions + hiigher skill + Sabo...as a good thing? Temper would be great for RUN not so much for mage side RDM. Atleast the Reives started as a nice way to do Melee RDM.

Gambit is lasting for about 1 min if it is significant weakness to resistance then would be a great time to nuke.

Gambit is lasting for about 40 secs or so if it is significant weakness to resistance then would be a great time to nuke.
it lowers the opposite element. Like how Pflug,Vallation, and valliance work. Its great for lunge resists.

Bar light and Bar dark are necessary to complete the job. Rdm or WHM not having those spells is just a lazy response to addressing why RUN doesn't have either.

And perhaps a Max HP boost or five could help with the whole light armor thing.

WAR is solid for base DA and lots of good buffs and stuff.

also: Fencer if we do definitely go down the Axe route

Isn't SAM a possibility here?
- Hasso/Seigan (obv when using GS/GA)
- Store TP II (+15)
- Zanshin II (25% chance of swinging again after a miss)
- Third Eye for a pretty nice defensive tool

And I'm not sure /RDM is crazy, particularly for solo:
- Haste, Dispel, Phalanx[edit, forgot RUN gets this itself], Cure I-IV
- Convert (paired with native RUN refresh)
- MAB II (+24) for "enspell" and Lunge damage
- Minor conveniences, but sneak/invis and Clear Mind II (hMP) have some usefulness

Should we really be using Lnge in ENM- gear :<

Good point. For feet, could use Cobra Unit mage feet for MAB+3 (only 1 less than Spolia) without the Enmity -6. Nothing really comparable to Spolia hands MAB+7 though (Arcane Cuffs from MMM - ugh - with MAB+4? Cobra hands for MAB+2?) Perhaps AF hands will help here once those arrive...

Looks close to what I was doing on lvl 70ish mobs about 1.6k w/o mab
2kish with +24 mab and when I would use Gambit and use lunge with 3 more runes it was adding about another 400dmg with the +24MaB.

I have been doing Lunge for 4.4-4.9k, "fun" but only good once every 3 min. Kinda a waste to use MAB atma just for this. On the bright side, you are able to do more damage with Herculean Slash too. Getting around 2+k ws. Been trying to do Herculean Slash > Herculean Slash > Magic burst with Lunge but sadly mob dies before this.

If you're going for e-peen numbers while leveling, use MAB atmas. If you want to actually contribute to the alliance, use the standard DD atmas (RR, GR, Apoc/SS).

DW axes is rather nice as well.

Splitting hairs, but a GSD RUN/SAM is likely best using RR/Apoc/VV or RR/Apoc/AaO

Pretty sure the former is ideal

Idk, given RUN's very limited access to stp gear, and wide access to multi attack gear, plus the generally crappy delays of gswords, Not to mention the generally useful spells run has that would be hurt by seigan/hasso, I feel like /war and a multi attack build, over /sam and an stp build would be better.
