First of all I was getting lag spikes and I kept getting R0 and then my network was going up and down like crazy before disconnecting for good. Now when I log in I start disconnecting straight away. I don't get booted from TS or firefox at all. I thought maybe I was lagging the game with them so I just ran FFXI but it still happens. I've already reset my modem, laptop and router and nothing changes. Also it started happening to another UK player on TS but not the NA players, any one else having trouble?

Have you recently downloaded any new software onto your PC? I know when i downloaded a piece of software called Virtual Dub, i used to get R0 constantly when i went into certain zones (wierd).

Yep, same here i'm getting disgusting R0 so i gave up and just logged off, thing is i've just got off playing halo3 on the xbox (ffxi is played on pc) and had no trouble there so its obviously a connection issue with SE and not my ISP, I'd assume it was the same with everyone else, apart from the stupid sod who is with talktalk, that WILL be talktalk ^.^

I'm with Virgin. It can't be the ISP though because it's only FFXI I'm getting problems with :( It seems to be affecting UK players only.. what could the problem be?

No I'm with Virgin too.. however a few months ago I would get monster lag. 5 Seconds I press the macros and you then see the animation.

I was told it could be maintanance in my area... also it could be your router/modem.

We literally got a new modem and router the other week because the others were ancient and they've been good until today so I doubt it's them causing it. The guy I was on Team Speak with lives waaaay upcountry from me too so I'm not sure whether it could be area maintenance.

I had this problem a few months ago with virgin. Couldnt even log in to pol, and i know a bunch of other ppl on virgin it happened to too. Anyway the only way I could log on at all was through a proxy, which worked perfectly. Had to do that for about 5 months before the problem randomly fixed itself.

Try this, it's what i had to use, hs a free trial.

Easy way to test is try browsing (if ya on PC) I tend to blame Virgin Media they tend to be a bit iffy. Also you can turn off/reset modem for 5 minutes let it update.

If that doesnt work then call Virgin.

It's happening to me too, everything fine, internet, other internet games, just FFXI..... I live in the Manchester area and im with Virgin... it could be area maint, just different areas at same time and then moving on.

Hopefully it fixes itself in a couple of hours.....

It usually does fix itself.. The servers are in NA and JP I presume so we would have a weaker signal maybe.

It happens to us here in NA as well. It's gotta be SE...they'll deny it til they're blue in the face, but something is *** up on their end. It happens to multiple people, on different ISPs, at the same time. Too much of a coincidence...

Ah listening to the arguments in WG, one of my favourite past times! I'm in a skill up pt with a friend but seeing as I'm hardly able to move I'm not getting many skill ups but I'm getting a nice little buffer of exp :)
