STR Magian should be better then TP Bonus, Reso really doesn't get a big boost from another 100TP vs how much the Attack would help out.
are we sure about this? according to BG wiki resolution DOES get an FTP bonus with more tp, and it's also one of those ws's that carries ftp across all hits, so wouldn't that be kind of a big deal?
of course when i punched it into a dps spreadsheet, the sheet showed no change at all. upon further inspection it didn't list ANY change in ftp with higher tp. prolly just an out of date sheet but could you be working with an outdated tool as well?
that being said it would have taken a shitload of work to get that old pld sheet up to date so i don't have a GOOD picture, but tp bonus magian looked competitive?
Extremely sure.
I said

Obviously it gets a boost in damage, just not a large enough one to justify the TP Bonus +100 Great Sword.
Tenebreuse
DMG: 123 Delay: 444
STR +11
Attack +26 (34.25)
Vs
Kauriraris
DMG: 110 Delay: 456
TP Bonus +100
Resolution
fTP: 0.95 @100 (125 with earring)
Resolution has a linear fTP gain of 0.125 per 100 TP so 1.075 for 225 TP.
That is a 13.15% increase in fTP coupled but slightly lower DMG. Assuming 180 STR (not exactly sure what would be normal for most sets + food) we get 153 WSC. Now the STR sword has +11STR on it for another 9.35 WSC along with its 13 higher DMG. I'm gonna plug in 20 fSTR (21 for STR GS) as it seems viable to hit on most things.
We're just going to calculate a single hits worth as both would have the same number of hits, though pDiff would favor STR magian.
306 base DMG on STR magian * 0.95 for 290.7
283 base DMG on TP Bonus * 1.075 for 304.225
Gives you a relative difference of 4.65% higher WS damage for the TP Bonus.
So your doing less TP damage for a 4.65% increase in WS damage without including the attack from the STR Great Sword.
So yes the STR Magian easily beats out the TP Bonus in actual use.
