4. Once you have finished the installation process, log into the Square Enix Account Management System and register your expansion content. Please access the following page using your internet browser.
https://secure.square-enix.com/account
5. Once you are logged in, click on “Select Service” under “Services and Options” and then choose “PlayOnline / FINAL FANTASY XI”.
6. Click on “Add a service account.” When prompted, enter your FINAL FANTASY XI: Seekers of Adoulin registration code provided in this purchase confirmation email.
7. Select the service account to which you would like to register your expansion content. If you have multiple service accounts (PlayOnline ID) linked to a single Square Enix account, you must choose which service account you wish to register your expansion content.
8. You are now ready to play FINAL FANTASY XI with the expansion content of FINAL FANTASY XI: Seekers of Adoulin.
i. If you are already logged into PlayOnline or FINAL FANTASY XI, please log out. Logging back in will enable the expansion content you registered.

What I'm wondering now is how one goes about getting the actual download if we ordered Adoulin directly from SquEnix?
StupidRiver site needs a password to access the download, but none is provided. So I don't know what's going on with that, or if there's even a download there.
As usual, SE does very little to explain anything, and what they do explain is so badly worded (bad translations?) that it's hard to figure out what is what. (A good example being that they could have just used the word "activate registration code" but instead they use "select service")

Is it bad that I felt like this install and download was too easy....as in I did something wrong?
I ordered from amazon... For others who did, did the download take very little time? I was expecting it to take like 12 hours to download and then another couple hours to install...
But nope... Just like 15-20 minutes to download the installer, then it installed, checked files and got like a 32k file check.
Knowing updates and SE, this just feels...WAY too easy.
Anyone know if I did it right based on their own experiences with their amazon purchase.

So... Hopefully somebody can help. I bought my expansion pack. I got my codes, two of them actually. When I go into my enix account I try and register the expansion and it tells me,"You cannot add expanded services because either the maximum number of service accounts have been added/registered or there are no service accounts to which the expanded services can be added/registered." Anyone have any idea what i might be able to do? I called customer support and they told me I just had a bad code. I bought another code off amazon and it gave me the same error -.-

That's not helpful to someone who wants to download it the way that Square Enix should PROVIDE. Why should we go this roundabout way? It's ridiculous.

it's pretty helpfull also not SE fault other then using a subpar company to dist. it's dlc. Just click his link and download how does it matter where you get it from. I just see alot of people asking the same ? here, krizz provided us non amazon guys with a dlc link, it works it's safe, and now i'm up and running. Does suck SE own site isn't up yet but they might not release the actual download untill game goes live who knows. Take 5 mins to read the e-mail i found all the info i needed to be pretty easy to find and understand. Unless i got a dif email then everyone else i don't see whats hard to understand, the only issue is SE doesn't have the Download avail. yet.

Is there any way to get the music box if you downloaded the expansion only(not ultimate)?
By using the link here? Also my first pc expansion, I`ve played on Xbox for 8 years...

There are going to be people for whatever reason who can't/won't/don't want to use the link provided by krizz.
I'm leaning toward the direction that SE won't release their download until it goes live, because they're just backwards like that. Even though the amazon buyers have theirs already.
Still, we can't access Adoulin yet. =/

I have a question...
Did anyone register their code, but the expansion isn't lit up on the log in page?
I registered mine, but it isn't lit up.
Is it because it's not available yet or is something wrong?

Ok somethign I'm confused about is the expansions content active or is it just buyable/downloadable now and then have wait for becoming active later for play?

so yea. i received an email with 2 sets of links to the MP3s and AN single digital rights code. i went to go activate it at least under my main account and nothing.

So i dont really have the patience to read all 8 pages of this thread word for word. But im guessing the general consensus is Amazon people get the ffxisetup.exe DL link right away? and the SE buyers dont? I bought it last night, got my email registered my digital rights code or w/e on SE account page. But i still havent figured out any DL link. I'm also like others, i'd rather not instal the game via some third-party link. I dont know krizz and i bet hes 100% trustworthy so its not that, i just dont feel comfortable doing it that way myself...my luck i'll *** something up.

There is no download available through Digital RetardRiver at this time, I just checked (again). It's pretty humorous considering the rest of the instructions assume you've downloaded the expansion.
Maybe they just forgot.

hrm funny thing too, not sure if its suppose to be like this but now since i actually registered my digital rights code...that findmyorder.com my order doesnt exist now. I was somewhat expecting the DL link to eventually show up there. Guess thats not gonna work now.

I pre-ordered from SE, and Digital river just sent me 2 emails of the MusicBox DL, no game expansion....
I am hearing Amazon sent out theirs. Who made this game? Amazon or SE? And SE is still behind Amazon...OMG.

Well the .rar worked fine for me. Same as all the other expansions I installed from his website. It installed fine and such, there was just an update after hitting play that seemed to overwrite my XIView lol.

Only the pc version is DL only.
I am not sure if the reg key from the Xbox version might work or not...You might wanna try.

yes did it for wotg with ps2 code. though did it for ps2 first then dl'd for pc when it didn't come in stock.

I ordered over amazon.com, got a download link, downloaded and installed it, while also putting in the code on the SE account website, and I still get an error after logging in (expansion pack data has not been installed. You cannot enter areas that require the expanion pack data.)
It's weird. That has always happened when you don't have an expansion game data installed, but you have the expansion registered to your account. I've had it happen when I forgot to install an expansion.
As for me, I got the codes and registered them, but is SE supposed to send out a download link once the expansion goes live or something? At work atm and too lazy to backtrack through the thread (though I did see that downloader Krizz uploaded) x.x;
has anyone else been able to download it before 12am pdt? amazon started downloading it for me about 2 hours ago but alot saying they can't download.
