Did anyone who bought it get your choco t-shirt code to actually register?

It is actually part of the new content so it will not register until the new content goes live.

Extract it in to your FFXI folder:

If you are 64bit then here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI

32 bit should just be like this:

C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI

If you use xp be careful not to replace things wrong. Extracting to will work but if you just drag and drop it may not merge like windows 7 will.

If you have win7 you can also just extract it to some random folder and literally highlight all the rom folders and drop them in to the above locations. It'll pop up a warning saying this folder already contains these folders and asks if you want to merge. Say yes. Then it will say there is already files with the same name. At the bottom there is a check box for "Do this for all conflicts" check that box and then hit the top option for "Move and replace".

This will merge everything together.
