First and foremost, don't get super obsessed with getting a 4* 5* or 6* card right off the bat. Be patient and eventually you will get them from various rewards or events. Dumping your junk cards into Leana's shop can land you Premium Tickets early on and is probably a better alternative than feeding them to your 1-3* cards or selling them for Luna.

Building a team should include at least one member of each effect type, meaning Slow, Poison, Area Attack, and Knockback. I would strongly recommend getting at least 2 of each type as there may be quests where you will need to fill a gap from a lack of ally support. There are several 2* units with these effects that you can get with Brave points. Doing the Helmut Boot Camp mission will teach you about positioning Poison and Slow units to maximize your Poison damage, an essential skill to learn.

Have a good mix of attack types, meaning Ranged, Melee, and Magic. Sometimes bosses in events will be resistant to certain types of damage. Also try to have units who have attack points in all three categories so you can avoid having flying type monsters simply cruise by you.

Take advantage of your allies in the early going. You will have access to all your allies with no cooldowns for the first week you play, utilize this to the fullest and get as far into the quests as you can. You can spam 2-7 or 25-3 anytime you want after the first week is up, but you will not always have unlimited allies to call when you want to do progression.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR TE's OR POTIONS ON COOLDOWNS OR TRAINING. These are basically your equivalent to smokes in prison, sure you can smoke them but then they are gone, buy yourself a nice shiv instead!

If you have the choice between Android or iPhone, go with Android. You will get offers to play other games for free mobacoins as well as a slightly better conversion rate from dollars to mobacoins compared to the rate of conversion for dollars to Fanta points for iPhone users.

Hang onto your Artifact monsters, when doing quests you will get artifacts and when you complete a set you get a rare monster. It is the same monster for each set but many of these monsters will be recruits when that event comes around again. Make sure you use your battle phases to steal artifacts to complete your sets. PROTIP: To lower your chances of getting attacked back try and pick a target who has the artifact you want and also has not logged in recently.

ATTACK BOOST - There are a few cards that will give attack boosts to either male or female units, the easiest of these to get are Claudio who boosts females, and Alex who boosts males. In the early going with good allies (like most of us!) you will be able to boost allied units damage to a point where you will have them doing more damage than deploying your own unit would be. In the last event my highest damage unit was 22000, and using Alex instead next to 3 of my allies I was able to increase the overall damage output by 80,000! This can give you a HUGE advantage in many quests and events and you should take full advantage of it.
