I have a decent upheaval build but im sure theres more. I have +60~70vit with att/acc gear I have full merits in vit. The magian great axe double attck+9. I have differnt peices to swap out but I would like the perfect set if anybody can help me.
Trade vit merits for dex and then take a look at this guide.

Why trade vit merits out? I mean the ws is 5/5 it uses vutality for the dng no? But dex I dont unterstand
DEX helps your acuracy and critrate accross all jobs.
VIT only helps your Upheaval more or less. Going STR\DEX is the best no doubt, unless you play ranger\cor mainly, then AGI instead of DEX. Or mages ofc, MND\INT\CHR as you want. Asura.Professorhojo

But upheaval isnt a cit hit ws.
Tp still is 40%~ or so of your total damage.
Asura.Professorhojo said: » But upheaval isnt a cit hit ws. I would imagine that a str path axe beats a vit path even for upheaval, the stat mod is very rarely the only concern or place for improvement. Dex has far more use overall, anda non-ukon war is probably doing content that 12 dex merits would have a significant effect on dDex. Asura.Professorhojo said: » But upheaval isnt a cit hit ws. No one said Upheaval was a crit WS, or that DEX would improve your Upheaval numbers. They're saying that having VIT merits is gimping your DoT as your are losing out on acc and potential crit rate during your TP phase. If you play any other DD you are gimping that as well. Offline

You'll gain the most DoT from STR and DEX merits. If you merit VIT instead of DEX, you'll push your Upheaval damage, but your overall DoT will drop. Also, the higher the level of the mob you're fighting, the lower your DoT will be without them, since your .dDEX level will be lower, and thus your overall accuracy and crit rate. DEX merits help both your white damage and your WS damage, even when the WS you're using isn't modified by DEX, whereas VIT merits only help Upheaval. An ideal Upheaval build is going to have the accuracy from DEX merits. Most of your DoT comes from your white damage anyway so don't be one of those guys who focuses on just boosting WS damage. wow that was the most redundant post i've ever read

To quote myself from another thread: Phorcys said: » It's a habit for me to edit until I get my post right. Done with pure intentions. I know their's always the Preview button before posting but it's just been a bad habit for me to do multiple edits. If it pisses people off, I apologize. My first post is almost always going to be redundant and look like horseshit, so give me a few minutes to make my edits before ridiculing it. Thanks. Non ukon war is probably not doing remotely the same level of white damage as ukon war, but I'd imagine outside Abby their ws numbers are somewhat close. Without odd, white damage is not most of the damage or even half I'd bet.
They aren't AS far apart, but Ukko's still does quite a bit more than Upheaval. I'm in a LS with a Bravua 99, they use their Ukon 99% of the time, when they use Brav, it's nothing to write home about.
VIT. It's a lot more useful with bravura. My white dmg is usually around 35% in relevant content. Rarely ever do I have accuracy issues, usually if I'm using bravura its on content im probably already DDEX capped or far from it or blah blah mul etc. Crits are over rated in pdif capped situations anyway.
All that being said... you should probably still merit dex Offline

I look forward to everytime Kyler posts here on the WAR forums.

On top of WAr section is an very nice guide for WAR.
http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/35200/the-parthenon-a-warriors-kyklos/#gear theres 2 Gearsets you could look at, one "middle tier" (ok i wouldnt call Valk Middle tier lol): Ragnarok.Ejiin said: » and one for Ukon/Brav max (should work similar with any other weapon): Ragnarok.Ejiin said: » Twilight body also works if you need ACC, if no Karieyh stuff yet Dileram are good and Af2+2 Legs are ok aswell Carbuncle.Ancientdragon

what about the new hands too they have 14 vit on them
Ares+1 > Karieyh Hands, even whithout Ares+1 body to get additional DA. Kariey would be maybe nice if you need the ACC they give, but when you need ACC you probably also need Att. I dont really see Karieyh ever winning over Ares+1. (thats with quickly playing with the dps spreadsheet, but not looking to deeply)

How do you rate this as a tp / upheaval build
TP Set ItemSet 300319 got lots of other random options but ive been told they arent optimal for warrior could use help no doubt. Ws Set ItemSet 300317 double att and stp on hauberk,tp bonus earing basically just unretired my warrior after years and am looking for some advice on some solid high acc upgrades i can make to be more optimal in Adulin Siren.Piccollo said: » How do you rate this as a tp / upheaval build TP Set ItemSet 300319 got lots of other random options but ive been told they arent optimal for warrior could use help no doubt. Easy changes: Twilight body Kareiyah feet Vit ringx2 Bibiki shell or oneiros in ammo Anyone do the testing to see whether caudata belt beat elemntal for ws acc? was wondering if i should get for my upheaval set

Without those buffs Caudata beats Ele by a solid chunk. (80Dmg) Caudata is a nice space saver. Fenrir.Soothsayer

So would Miki Breastplate be better than Phorcys?
Sorry if thats noob question but I couldn't find an answer anywhere else and I don't have the Miki body yet (or if I should get at all). And I guess this question could be used for both Reso and Upheaval, thanks for the halp. Fenrir.Soothsayer said: » So would Miki Breastplate be better than Phorcys?
