Gorney Haubert +1 too.
15 less hard atk than Xaddi (big whoop on DRK) and 3 less hard acc.
Not to mention higher STR/DEX/INT/MND, so WSmods are increased.
Though it does have 1% less DA. But... that all evens out with the ~+8 per stat.
EDIT: Assuming WS body.
Considering Xaddi is a tp body piece you shouldn't be comparing them for wses.

So the good news is that today on my first kill of hahava i got ganesa. And gorney looks great would that be the optimal ws pieces or can someone direct me to current ws sets?

Squah posted WS sets, Dark magic sets, and more on page 49.

Do those also apply to apocalypse since he is using liberator?

Howdy.
For Apoc, the sets are basically the same, just replace bale earring with Brutal and Prosilio Belt +1 with either Windbuffet +1 or appropriate elemental belt (I'll be honest, I haven't mathed out the best for Apoc since if I'm using Apoc over Lib, I'm pretty much exclusively using catastrophe)
I'll put together my Catastrophe set real quick from memory and edit it in. Cross Reaper/Quietus sets are in my profile, just change the Prosilio+1/Bale like before.
ItemSet 332966
Niht Mantle beats Bleating if it has at least 1% WSDMG on it iirc. Any more is just cake. That gives 179 TP on WS, so need (49-15)=34 STP in gear to 5 hit /SAM. My Liberator AM up - Normal set will suffice, just swap Brutal for Neritic Earring and you can use Cizin +1 w/ +2DA in place of Xaddi, but you'll lose a chunk of accuracy.

Could swap body to Phorcys, ears to bladeborn/steelflash, and waist to soil or windbuffet +1. Should see a nice little increase with those changed out. Not sure what your Niht mantle has but it can get +15 att/+5% ws dmg (both max augs).

Ok need information on how this stacks up against Ragnorak.
Macbain
DMG 268+36
Delay 501
Atk / Acc +15
DA +4
Not sure if there is a WSD+10% augment and if that would greatly effect the comparison.

Ragnarok versus Macbain depends on whether or not Rag's accuracy is benefitting you. The last I played around with it, Rag was a tiny bit ahead or behind of WSD/Atk/acc Macbain where acc didn't matter much. Since you already have Rag I'd stick with that.

Ok thanks, just wanted to know since the new update added bigger stats. I made the Macbain mostly for RUN but was curioius as to how it effected DRK spamming Torcleaver (easier x-hit / blah blah).

Depends on the rest of your gear, as always. There's a lot more accuray/sTP/DA available now with Acro and Yorium augments. I don't see a scenario where 25 accuracy can overcome 80 base damage, even with the 2x procs and crit rate unless you're accuracy starved.

That's a lot of base damage to beat, for sure. Doesn't DRK get a decent portion of damage from white damage, though? Rag should still be king of white damage, if that matters. I still think I'd go for WSD on Macbain because at that point I don't see any other greatsword beating that one.
I'm still making Rag and Apoc for my alt, just to have them, but barring something like Yorcia Delve with lacking buffs I think Ragnarok has pretty much been surpassed.

Well, I didn't really go in much detail in the spreadsheet but I threw something really basic in to see what it spits out.
Macbain augmented with DMG+32, WSDMG+5%. That's it. Versus Ragnarok, both using identical gear (my Liberator 4-hit with 5/5 Acro I'm testing, lol)
Assuming the Acro has 0 accuracy on each piece also, to get a baseline. Target mob is Tojil with Marches and Minuets, no madrigals.
Ragnarok: 1073.807
Macbain: 1096.249
If I force cap accuracy and attack with Soul voice and COR rolls and go bananas with buffs:
Ragnarok: 1523.708
Macbain: 1640.538
Again, I didn't investigate the new best TP/WS build or x-hit for either weapon, I just put it into my Liberator set and took out the mythic bits like Nerritic earring and Prosilio+1

Does the spreadsheet properly calculate the +WSD as first hit only? It is, correct? Still, that's pretty impressive.

So Macbain beats Ragnarok now? :( There was me thinking that DRK might get a decent upgrade, but the latest update just killed the one relic I own. Sadly DRK isn't even worth using in most situations anymore. I ain't played it in months and it's meant to be my main job. THF is so damn overpowered there's no point getting my gimpy Rag DRK out when it takes so much effort to keep up with the one-handers.

We use drk for Incursion, HTBCs, Unity, etc etc.
And for jobpoint party, using 3 DRKs has been a blast.
Get a grip man, new skirmish weapons with 3 near perfect augment slots as sidegrade option to RMEs isn't the end of the world.

I never see drks on my server anymore. It got to the point where I was the only one around. I ain't saying DRK is totally useless, it's just hard to find a place for it when you can easily replace it with a good SAM DNC or THF. Only ever seen a Mythic DRK doing Incursion well, in comparison to a Mythic SAM. Any job can do high tier battlefields, unity or job point parties.
Used the job since 2004, and it feels like the old days where no one really wants a DRK for anything .. unless you happen to be leading the party or have friends willing to take you on it. You won't see anyone purposely yelling for a DRK (just like WAR and DRG) unless they are doing Voidwatch. Had this conversation with a number of people, unless you are a Mythic WAR DRG or DRK, you will have a hard time keeping up with a decent SAM on anything worthwhile. Unless the new skrimish gear changed everything .. but I doubt it.
Don't mean to be a downer, but that's how I see it right now. I have no reason to use my Rag DRK for anything. I could use it .. but what's the point when I can just take THF and do stupid skillchains with Rudra's. SE needs to fix WAR DRG and DRK weaponskills. I don't want it to be like the bandwagnarok days, but at least make us competitive with the mighty Rudra's.
At least you need perfect augments for the Macbain to be better. That gives me some hope, but if they continue on this trend, Ragnarok will be outdated again until they boost us past 119.

Even without WSDMG, if you have decent acc augments on Acro gear since you'll be shooting for a 5/(maybe 4 hit?) Macbain is essentially equal to Ragnarok if you have +10~damage. I personally have seen +30DMG on it and I'm pretty sure it can go up to +35 or so. Add in DA, WSDMG and it starts winning more handily.
edit: And I know nobody particularly cares for Liberator sets, but I'm starting to sort out the best post-patch Liberator sets. I'll try to work on Apoc afterwards.

Yorium Gauntlets can get 5PDT, as well as 20+ acc/att so you don't whiff forever too.
edit: also wasn't there like a breakpoint where PDT became better than the chance of nullification? I think it was like anything less than 20PDT, shadow mantle will negate more overall.
If that's the case, Repulse mantle
