(Don't) Fear the Reaper: A Dark Knight Guide
Oh jeez derp. I haven't been on much since the updates. Ok. So why then would /war be dead as Taint put it. I can't see /sam being better at all.
Brace yourselves, butthurt is coming
I prefer the /WAR. /SAM hasso store tp traits doesn't boost me to the next x hit tier. I've never seen so many ppl /THF in awhile for the new delve field nm's since Dark Ixion days.

Its 10da vs 15stp,hasso when LR is down,Seigan when LR is up,med between mobs and sekka for overflow. Indeed.
Having a 6 hit /Sam or a 7 hit /War are nearly identical DPS wise on paper. However, the utility of /Sam is a clear winner in practice. The DPS of a dead DD is 0 and I can't count how many times Seigan/Third Eye has saved my life. It has no place in Delve over sam, it's much more useful...
no reason to /war if youre doing more than a 3 minute zerg fight (or set of fights), even with apoc ***hits too hard to tank well in the new areas

(maybe more but those are ones I've personally zerged) We /NIN Jagil because of enspell and /sam the rest. No reason to /war the NMs either.
Before the update I had been working on OAT Gsword for my drk. I stopped it because I've been focusing on the new Delve / Bayld stuff. (Monk is my main so all of the new gear that I will be attaining will most likely go towards making monk better). But I was wondering, would it be worth it to finish the OAT to use until I can get a Bereaver, or is it better to just go with Hatzoaar sword (NQ) for now until I get bereaver?
Thanks. Sorry if this was already answered I didn't see it anywhere.... Siren.Robthunder said: » Before the update I had been working on OAT Gsword for my drk. Anytime spent doing OAT trials could be better spent doing Delve. currently i personally stick to /sam until we have better info/tactics, and if a straight zerg becomes a safe solid option then /war could come back into play, more of the new gear will help with that aswell
added Bereaver and Dimmet Scythe to Weapons section
What about gear sets for Crobaci, is that a good GS?

I was looking at item sets for the Bereaver and came up with these, any suggestions / opinions?
Non cap haste (obvious fixes would be dynamic belt +1) ItemSet 300784 Cap haste ItemSet 300785 Made this set out of boredom, wondering what peoples thoughts are.
/sam for sub job. Gunning for Acc path on feet, wondering how much stp can I remove on there as well. ItemSet 300799 so out of the new pieces if equipment from delve, which ones are most useful?
So far I have seen the following:- Bereaver Dimmet Scythe Earrings Mikinaak legs and feet (Reso and TP) if you get the feet the hands replace af3 on type B
body is solid as well type A for resolution fairly certain scythe is still useless, or at least not worth the points atm edit: may want to build up a lot of points first for hands, not worth it till at least rank 10 What's a good alternative to Mala?
And is Fell Cleave worth using on DRK, if so what's the best GA for it? 1. stick to af neck or use portus if you have it/can get it (acc on af neck helps even more in soa)
2. not really level war, but if adamant about it http://www.ffxiah.com/item/18510/vermeil-bhuj your only real option (large part of why it's not worth it) Miki. Greaves its better to go path B right?
Both paths are ok, and both have their cons/pro, imo on a TP piece on DRK u get more benefits in the DEX/Acc path.

Non cap haste (obvious fixes would be dynamic belt +1) ItemSet 300784 I'm conflicted about Pak Corselet/+1. Wouldn't Armadaberk with sTP+6 and DA+3% typically be better,(albeit by a minuscule amount of Att. and Acc.) regardless of -1% DA? I guess if you're going for maximum damage output that 1% DA, Armadaberk would be missing, would put Pak +1 on top. Also, I've been using Phorcys head and RCB(with 2x March, 2x Minuet, Chaos/Fighters) inside Morimar on plasm fodder, since Acc really isn't an issue in there, curious if dropping Phorcys for AF3+2 head would be the right choice. Do we have a maximum output set for Bereaver yet? I'm sure this will be our main weapon for quite some time, unless they reveal a Delve Naakual G.sword weapon(which I'm really hoping for) with the next NMs/Zones. |
