I think part of what we determine what is scary ourselves is our own fears.

One of the fears I have is mirrors. Not that I'm scared to use them, would be incredibly silly, but if I'm not looking does it really follow my actions or is it still staring at me.

It's a silly fear, but I enjoy being scared by it and I like that some movies have been bringing it up recently.

I don't really get scared of movies with spiders or insects, I might get grossed out but I don't consider that being the same as fear.

Gore movies are more shocking than anything, I don't consider that fear either.

Have you seen Mirrors?

hmm maybe event horizon for a scifi lil bit of scary though everyone seen it.

House of Voices on netflix right now isn't bad (has mirrors).

Maybe Ghost ship

The Skeptic also on netflix, it is a lil bit B movieish but over all not bad.

Devil Carnival basically another Rock opera not scary but might be worth watching.

Then could always watch the anime mushi-shi that has some creepy stuff in it.

Talking about games try Limbo, Penumbra, Amnesia the dark decent.

I've been on a kind of scary movie kick my self especially ghost always my fav ones though get hard to find good ones. That arn't to heesy cookie cutter or to B movie with bad acting.

List of Steven King movies and series

Personally don't think his books are that good anymore but some the movies and mini series are decent. Bag of Bones, Rose Red, and 1408 come to mind.

Going to have to disagree with Zah here. >.> Battle Royale in comparison to Audition? What?! lol Both movies are good, but they can't be lumped together.

American Horror Story was good last season. If you're not into the more cheesy wtf horror, you won't like this season. :|

I didn't compare them. Simply put, J-horror isn't scary to me. Like I said earlier, horror is subjective.

Yeah...I'm really disappointed with this season of AHS too. I keep waiting for something phenomenal but it's just not there. They're jamming way too much in one season.

Damn you Connie Britton!!! It's all your fault!!! Do you think she was the reason they hurried the end of the first season of AHS? She's a producer on 'Nashville' as well, so I've been wondering. GDI she better warble a terrible cover of 'The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia' in that show to make up for abandoning AHS! Grrr!

I was so disappointed with sinister :/ Bunch of cheap jump scares and rather meh snuff movie parts.. not going to spoiler stuff, but muh i found it rather boring.
Idk there's not many new horror movies i find interesting anymore.. all just the same old stuff over and over :<

Candyman is a good classic film if you enjoy older horror movies. Just the music alone from old movies can give me the creeps
