So changes to Tabula Rasa will be partially implemented? My 2nd OP post lists of everything we know about atm.
Some things to keep in mind for this version update:
Salvage, prepare to be disappointed. Also, the effects of Embrava that are being postponed will be put into effect for this event only.
Meeble Burrows: Trading your grimoire to the npc in Upper Jueno will allow players to view the status of their expeditions. Also the maximum stock of Moblin pheromone sacks will be increased to 10, 15 by using points.
18 Bard Songs will be changed from single target to AoE, Pianissimo will now reduce the casting time of the next song and will be made available at level 20.
Perfect Defense / Tabula Rasa will NOT be nerfed this update, but will be implemented soon.
Nyzul Isle Uncharted, Legion, and Einherjar adjustments will continue as planned this update.
Limbus and Einherjar entry times will be reduced to 20 hours.
Both paralysis and "Killer" effects will now function in Voidwatch. More adjustments to come.
A furnishing will be added so you can select what music plays in your Mog House (home nation of course). If you own a Spinet then these songs will be added to the playlist as well.
Salvage items as well as new Starlight Festival and New Year Celebration items will all be storable right away.

It'll depend on the results of the dat mining, but overall, I'm about ready. Was going to delay in favor of playing XIV instead, but since that's been pushed back, it'd be free to do alpha/beta and I wouldn't be paying both sub fees anyways.

I'll be dissapointed if i get dissapointed (hurr). I NEVER expect great things from SE, but after NNI gear I happily put my expectations of salvage gear having 1 "good piece" and 2-3 "situational" pieces per set. I mean hell if they at least change it to partial set bonuses I'm relatively happy.
On top of that, the implication their going to do it like "neo limbus" leads me to believe I have a 1/10 chance to like a piece per set.
Still.... Ares's Body is still the "most" i paid for a piece. My income now (and when I finished my relics) is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE in comparison to what I made back then. I LITERALLY was farming beehive chips and light crystals in uggalepih back then. I remember when gardening the ingredients to sell a stack of sole sushi was a BIG DEAL to me and coming up with 18m to finish ares body was like OMG THIS IS MY LIFES WORK!!!!! Please please please dont turn that into a pile of ***T.T
(lol get a load of this:)
Then again I might be completely wrong.... They might change ares set bonus to quad attack per piece and make it all HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE good.

inb4 Haste nerf and SE talking about gears stats... enmity system and the player giving too much TP to enemies issue... so... they just called limbus and einherjar gear ***and made it easier.
All stuffs that allow players to zerg Monsters will be nerfed.

I swear you people are pessimistic only for the sake of being pessimistic. I'd rather be pessimistic when it comes to salvage, very much so.
We've waited a year+ to see the results of revamping old content. Salvage is one of the last updates for this, and the update most players have been wanting to see.
I honestly want Salvage to do well, give players the rewards they want, and more. I do not think Salvage will bring any of this to players, so I keep my expectations very low.
I'd rather have rotten expectations for what's to come and be very surprised, than to have high hopes and be very disappointed.

When your expectations are this low, it's hard to get disappointed when SE drops the ball yet again.

I feel that salvage was done well the first time and the rewards were some of the most pleasing (to me as an ares/usu user) for 75 cap.
I personally feel that this should be the "best gear" of the 99 cap as well but I understand that's my opinion.
Either way.... we'll know soonish!

While a lot of people are focused on the gear, I don't care about the gear as much as I care about if the content itself is fun or not. I mean yeah, I would love for the gear to be great but I doubt it'll be totally awful. At worst it'll be side-grades which really isn't that big a deal to me.

| | Random translations, none of these are super critical, so just the summaries:
There's a bug with the Flytrap TP move Gleosuccus, something with TP consumption. They're working on it, fix won't be in this update, but will be in a subsequent update as it needs to be verified.
Limbus/Einherjar timers won't be reset with the update, nor will they be reduced to 20 hours, they'll just continue ticking down at whatever current time remaining they have. Any subsequent entries will have the correct 20 hour timer.
Today's version update is adding a new graphical configuration setting to attempt to stabilize graphics for certain graphics cards. It's in the miscellaneous tab (the config settings outside the game, not in the game), asking to give it a try if you have unusual graphics issues.

Holy ***, are you me? That's exactly how I felt with my Usukane body. It took me ages to farm up all the gil for that thing (I got my gil by running ISNM every single day for like, months, and sold a ton of Hecate's Capes when Fiat Lux first opened).

I was almost going to go to Einherjar earlier too, lol. Good thing I decided against it.

It's just going about it in a silly way to automatically be apprehensive. There's nothing wrong with being excited and let down if it's that bad of an update-- SE has been pretty good this entire year up to this point, with very few pitfalls (Embrava, NNI).
I doubt Salvage will be terrible, it's their last hope until SOA and they'll want to keep people on the line as long as they can.
