as a career blu i would love to own a Tizona. as was stated in one of the above posts, Tizona would be the final step for a Blu completionist. But ... in todays gaming enviroment whereas fashion vs. functionality is the predominant factor in everything, Stick w/ Almace. granted Tizona would looks sweet and say something about your determination (and bank account too :p), but it is too hard for a Blu to maintain AM3, and Expiacion is fun to look at,but its just plain meh compared to CdC/Req.

So your point is you should make Tizona so you can farm Salvage better?

The point is not "make a Tizona to farm salvage better", but "Tizona improves BLU's output in situations requires lots of MP". Salvage is just 1 example. When you make a weapon do you make a weapon based on current situations/game content, or based on "Maybe one day my job would need this"?

When I did salvage, my preferred zone to solo currency wise was arrapago, and I could full clear all alex mobs + boss with tons of time to spare. That is obviously without tizona, so I'm not sure how it would really help there.

So maybe you can clear with even more time to spare? The argument is better to have one or not, not whether it's worth it or not.

Btw does AR solo actually give more alex avg than SSR? I've never solo AR but seems every alex farmer stick with SSR.

most alex farmers stick with SSR because cotton pouches are 100% of nm's. that and its pretty easy mode. not much sneaking around, or dodging things. or at the very least thats why I stick with SSR.

Tizona doesn't significantly improve your output when AoEburning since you're not spending a lot of time meleeing. There's some gain in refresh rate while meleeing (not a lot considering downtime, no AM3, minimal buffs, and any casting you do), but your melee damage suffers as a result and thus the gains in efficiency, if they even exist, are minimal.

That in a sense is the true problem with Tizona: its two strongest properties are in opposition. Damage > MP conversion improves magic output, but you need buffs and AM3 for the conversion to be significant and in those situations casting generally isn't worthwhile so MP isn't an issue. If you could more reasonably benefit from both its damage and utility perks then it would be a much better weapon, but the state of the game's mechanics (mostly blue magic pDIF and static delay) preclude using it in a manner that suits its design and the overall concept of BLU itself.

I do melee a lot when AoE burning in SSR, due to the recast of WoR and B.typhoon there are some down time that I would not be casting and just auto attacking. It's also possible to use wings from the chest for instant AM3 before doing it.

I would think Tizona would be pretty useful in dynamis. The majority of damage comes from spells so the extra MP would come in handy. Who cares about salvage. It's not like you're going to be running out of time... It's the same amount of alex no matter what.

A weapon that costs an asinine amount of money is good for making more money.

>____> I know what you mean, but just had to point it out. A weapon that costly would have to be efficient outside of just a few instances is the problem.

The only mythic that I'd argue is actually worth *** all would be Ryunohige since that actually provides a massive boost for the job, Koga coming in a near second since it's just badass. That's only because of how much time and resources must be pumped into a Mythic. That doesn't stop anyone from building them, and certainly would not stop me from building a Tizona for the job I love to play if I had the resources or time to do so.

Yeah, Burt letting pld break the physical cap is kind of meh now that ochain is in the game >_<. I'd argue KKK for Pup, but it still sadly doesn't elevate pup enough. Though I too would build KKK if I came back, because it's for a job I really like (Sam being my first love but *** that, I have Amano).

Trophies are trophies. I'm just glad mine happened to be a Mandau. I think we all know the mythics that are actually worth making, but people are going to do what they want.
