Seen some of these rings going cheap nowadays. I always wanted one back in the day, but is there any point now? When would the ring be of any use? I'm guessing it's only really good for a very high evasive mob from Legion?

Anytime you aren't capped hitrate, you can consider mars as an option. Some vw mobs are even hard to cap acc on. Compare most acc gear and you'll see that 8 acc on a ring is godly.

I would use Mar's Ring and Ambuscade Ring in Legion.

most likely if any tp ring in place can't save you an attack round but even then people tend to use other rings like demonry ring or oneiros ring where applicable. there may be a spesific situation to use mars's ring outside legion but i doubt it is anything common at all.

Hold on to it. Ive kept my random mag acc, elemental magic skill, acc+ gear on my mule in case they come out with stuff that requres that again. Kinda like the old fasioned Ouryu fight where a mage needed to have the magical elemental magic skill of 320.
