Hmp/voidwatch Advice

im looking to collect heavy metals plates to upgrade my empy. im new to voidwatch and could use some advice on which vwnm fights to aim for that have the best droprates for heavy metal plates and pouches as well as any specific advice for any of those fights that can be offered.

im also looking for an ls that does voidwatch consistently that i could join up with.

i appreciate any advice offered and if theres a voidwatch ls out there recruiting, find me in-game.

Qilin will be your best friend/enemy.

Plenty of Qilin shouts on Cerberus. Go as BLU since your gear will matter little but make sure to have all your proc spells. Pray for pouches.

Qilin, qilin, and more qilin.
It's the easiest of the 3 VWNMs that drops Heavy Metal Pouchs to kill, so getting a group to kill 12-18 in a 2 hour span shouldn't be too hard. Sometimes you'll get no pouches, other times you might get 2-3.

Single plates also drop from T3 Jueno if you're also interested in the glowy body drops from those NMs (Toci's Harness, for example).

Qilin as others have said. You probably won't find a l/s that does mostly VW and if you do they're probably not a l/s worth joining. Any group I'd trust to kill things quickly has probably moved past that by now so your best shot is probably shout groups. I personally got quite few individual plates from Kaggen & Akvan like Pleebo pointed out. I think 4 or 5 times I got a plate on all 6 kills in a round so they can be productive as well.

I personally averaged a heavy metal pouch about every 12 kills from Qilin. On a few occasions I'd get 2-3 pouches with one group, but there were some bad stretches as well.

Edit - I should say LS's that are primarily focused on VW are what I would avoid, not necessarily sub-groups of LS's that may farm VW for whatever reason.

i'm like 2/200 on qilin.

Just join Qilin (or any other Zilart T3) Pil Kaggen or Akvan Shouts. Jeuno T3 you normally get on average 3 Plates in 6 fights, i personally never had much luck with pouches lol. I rarly got one, and when i somehow found one in the box it gave me like 3 plates <.<

I know Plotinus had a VW Linkshell, but he is rather picky on ppl who he tackes in (need E/M/R 90/95+ as DD), but i think he quit again or takes a break dunno lol

2. Or merc Nyzul for gil
3. Buy hMP.

I progressed way faster by farm gil and buy plates. Qilin drop like 6 pouches after 400~500 kill, 4 pouches gave me 3 metals. Now that curor blinker is nerfed, IMO Qilin is nothing but a waste of time when you can make more gil/hr in other ways.

Apparently my luck is the *** but suggesting Qilin for HMP is crazy to me, I've got like 2 pouches in these past years.

Kaggen and Pil have been generous with the singles though.
