Oh I can and in fact did too much. Got me in a lot of troubles in the Navy. Things like thinking and common sense are often frowned upon.

Navy isn't pro-thinking for yourself. Common sense, arguable.

Basically if you post, have a screenshot, people talk of you, and people view your profile alot, bumps you up. The more ppl view your profile the higher it jumps.

Oh no even thinking for the better of the Navy is frown upon if it goes against the way we already doing things. And common sense yeah it was right up there with logic wasn't allowed.

That would be promoting yourself beyond the rank of chief. Edit: Navy is a program built on "a" logic. Thus... you had no common sense in trying to be a revolutionary there.

In an effort to RE-rail this thread, I'll answer the original question.

For the most part, at least from what I have seen, if you post something crazy/interesting that catches at least one person's eye, and said person tells another, you wind up getting looked up.

I was number 1 out of everyone in the whole game for like 3 days. Reason? I posted pics of myself (and my ever-growing *** ; ;), and the incredible week I had that consisted of getting 3/5 Homam followed shortly by Hachiryu Haidate in a span of 5 days.

Lieutenant Commander in the Navy. I can tell you from personal experiences over the last 10 years that thinking for yourself, whether officer or enlisted, will get you buried. Even when you are the one that is supposed to be giving the orders, you are actually the medium who is passing things down from the real head honcho.

I also am sometimes in the top-searched, and it seems to be random. I haven't bought or sold anything fascinating for ages, haven't posted any pictures, nothing. My ls likes to tease me that I have enemies and that's why I'm in the top-searched (although I'm not usually, just occasionally). But it's truly no trouble whether or not I am, I don't really care. Don't fret over it much, you'll be fine. ^^

OK i know that post gets you higher, beeng at a HNM camp makes you higher and many others. but not beeing online for 5 days?

I wasn't in the Navy,Army, Air Force, etc... But I can say, common sense is not so common.

As for those government services, I guess they've had trial & error for a long time and use the stuff that actually work...
