Let us all boycott this pizza joint. I never liked their pizza anyways but for sure won't buy one from them now.

'Papa John' is a low-life employer.

From my personal experience, I never liked Papa Johns too much. They aren't bad when it comes to taste, but I suppose it was the one in my area.

The first Papa Johns local was actually torn down because such bad service, so they relocated and hired a bunch of new people on a different part of town, and I've yet to hear anything bad since.

Just as a guess, it sounds like the type of CEO that would attribute any loss of revenue caused by the boycott to the administration also...then tell his employees he'll have to let more of them go because of the drop in business.

Then if his business ultimately fails, it will be 'because of the administration', as well. :/

Man, people are losing their ***over this. Seriously, if these CEOs took a pay cut, they could afford to give their employees healthcare. Apparently health isn't our biggest concern in America, right now.

I honestly enjoy Papa John's pizza, and though I think boycotting seems to defeat the purpose (less business = even less hours for employees), I suppose it's one of the very few things we can do to respond to this in a legal manner.

It just sucks, because their pizza's so awesome... Well, I still have Rosati's.

They gave away 2 million free pizzas because 1 pizza from their place costs more than it would to make 4. So while you bought a pizza and saved a ton of money, they still cleared profit.

Man, talk about taking the piss. Dynamically disastrous pizza dough, frigidly frozen "fresh" toppings (i walked into a Papa John's here a while back and saw them emptying a pack of frozen sliced pepperoni onto a tray), with healthily unhappy employees. This was Before Obama took office the first time. Honestly, why can't these big time employers (who are the first to achieve record profits since Obama took office, by reducing working ours, and demanding mroe from employees) actually take care of their workers?

In comparison, workers in Japan live their career jobs. They spend decades doing it, they get massive benefits, work harder because it's rewarded, not demanded or punished for not doing so, and live much more comfortable lives. This *was* the way America operated back in the 60's to the late 90's, though it dwindled when big businesses could cheapskate their way to a fortune.

For a guy who has a net worth of over $300,000,000 dollars to his name, you'd think "Papa John" would play the father figure he tries to portray in his commercials, surrounded by happy employees. Instead he's been touted as hiring actors for those positions because none of his actual employees would ever do it.

*** the both of these guys <_<

They say "I can't afford" but what they really mean is "I'm going to lose pocket change and that is unacceptable."

These *** need to remember what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck before they start talking about "I can't afford X"..

Douchebag way to go about it, but I doubt anyone cares enough to boycott for that purpose. If Dominos did the same thing, I wouldn't change my habits as a customer. Fortunately, no Papa Johns near where I live, and it's always been terrible in my experience anyway. No hipster-rage for me.

Sadly, boycotting won't hurt the CEO. It will only hurt the local chains' sales and thus cut more hours from local workers. Boycotts sound great in principle, but you're only hurting your fellow neighbors. CEOs won't even notice any dents in their bottom line, honestly. So if you like their pizza, still support your neighbors. They are the ones that would really lose out if people just stopped going there.

Guess now that we've passed Obamacare, we get to find out what's in it. Life remains a ***.

HILARIOUS that millions of part time employees already exist in this exact situation - many working more than 40 hours per week, too - that don't get health care from companies that pretend to have great benefits. Where's their sob story? Where's the boycotts for the thousands of people that were already in this situation?

Oh, is the difference that the companies were never required to provide something to these employees? Welp, they still aren't - guess it's not all that different after all.

You guys are welcome to boycott stuff all you want, but it's not like Papa John's is a forerunner in cutting people back to part time.

I see this as more of an indictment of the bill than of any business owner. Glad we all read it, right?

This.

Fast food "pizza" from about any chain gives me horrible times in the bathroom 90% of the time.

I'm actually going through the process of reading all 906 pages of it myself. Just so I know what the deal is. So far so good from what I'm reading, but I'm taking it slow as tackling a 906 page bill with a lot of legislative jargon is a pain in my ***.
